Used 2023 Toyota Corolla Consumer Reviews
No heat corolla
Purchased a 2022 Corolla LE last September. This is my fourth new Corolla through the years. Everything was good with the 2022 until winter here in Vermont came. The car has absolutely no heat and won’t defrost the windshield. The car has been in the dealership for service several times for this issue. They left it idling for 45 minutes today and they agree absolutely no heat. Then they say oh well that’s how the Corolla is made now. How can you drive safely when the car won’t defrost? I paid 25k for a car with no heater??? I’m at my wits end about this. Service advisor told me that the field technician said it probably should be a lemon law case. Then only an hour later to be called back and told oh well that’s just the way Toyota makes them now. Any advice on what options I have????
Horrendous road noise and many other frustrations
I've rented 7 or 8 2021-2023 Corollas, from LE's to XSE's and they all had a deafening amount of road noise at highway speeds - more than previous generations of Corollas going back to 1984. The engine was also noisy at start up in the morning and during heavy acceleration. Seats were less well padded than previous generations of Corollas. Dash climate controls had tiny, hard to see icons. It was difficult to see and figure out how to turn interior light on an off. Again, all these frustrations weren't present in previous generations of Corollas.

From Honda to Toyota
Hondas are nice & sporty built cars, and I don't have anything bad to say about them other than after a long drive the seats can lead to having a lower back discomfort. .I had a 2022 Honda Civic Sport but decided 5 months later to trade in for a 2022 Corolla SE/ w moon roof and blind spot monitoring. The Corolla was initially my first choice but regret i didn't go with Corolla from the beginning. Reviewers are complaining about the loud engine, and maybe because they are comparing the Corolla to a highly powered luxury car. Most 2.0 engines have louder sounding engines. I once owned a Mitzubishi G4, and the thing was louder than loud, but i still drove it with no problem. You can't go wrong with a Toyota, and this is why i decided to trade. I've own many vehicles, a Mazda, many hondas, also a jeep. Had problems with the jeep transmission during the first month of ownership, and got rid of it. Same went for the Mazda last year. while driving it, on two occasions while coming to a stop for a traffic light, the car stalled out completely. took it to dealership, and they said the car was perfectly fine after keeping my vehicle for a few days to diagnose. One month later it stalled out again. I didn't feel comfortable driving it therefore traded it. I'm confident that my classy little toyota - AKA Roe- Roe! - will go a long way. Well, car has almost 1k miles…
Sometimes it has a slight clunking noise when accelerating and in reverse is more pronounced and the wireless CarPlay has put the screen black like in half an hour but I press/hold the button and it restarts. Some things like these worries me a bit… -Everything else, including the gas mileage is phenomenal and it is very comfortable car despite being a compact car!
