Purchased this vehicle used 3 years ago with 24,0000 miles. It’s nice looking little car with impeccable reliability. Currently have 61,000 and no reliability issues. Toyota service has been great. However, this is the poorest driving car I have ever owned (64 yo). I was aware upon purchase this was a basic car and no more. Toyota and any car manufacturer should be ashamed of releasing a car to the public with such sloppy steering. Before anyone thinks I am being overly critical, my previous car was a Mercury Grand Marquis. Not exactly a driver oriented vehicle. The car is acceptable for short in town trips and no more. Longer trips on the highway require constant course correction or you’ll find yourself heading for the shoulder or across the center line. This makes the car EXTREMELY tiring to drive. Have driven the newer models ‘14 and ‘16 and no difference. Even at my age one can still learn something....Don’t buy a car that is uncomfortable if in it for more than 2 hours and for GODs sake make sure it’s capable of tracking straight without constant input and has enough power to get out of its own way.

Toyota corolla... Do you have to say anything else?

Do careful research and test driving and there really is only one option and no competitors. You simply cant find a car with the size comfort quietness and safety. Plus fuel economy is the same as the yaris and the echo before it except in town. Reliability... It's a toyota. Just change the oil and it will keep running forever. We live in our car and put about 800 km on it every week. I upgraded for the 2008 Yaris. It makes sense they dropped the Yaris sedan, for just a bit more you get a car you could live in with the same gas milage. Yaris had legendary dependably but it was a point A to B kinda car. To spend money on any other compact would be a a choice that is not based on facts.

This is my 2nd Corolla. I had my last one for 9 years with no major repairs, over 100,000 miles & still going strong when I traded it & never even needed a new battery. This one is turning out pretty much the same, always starts even on the coldest day & it is parked outside. Toyota is my car of choice.

While I admire the styling cues of the Elantra, the built quality, reliability, smooth ride, and reliability of the Corolla takes the win here.

Lets be honest, the interior of the corolla may be antiquated and the engine power may not be as responsive as some other competitors. That being said, this is a nice vehicle to have in your garage. I admire the Hyundai Elantra's styling for both the interior and exterior. When i test drove the Elantra everything felt good, but i did not feel the sense of longevity. The civic is also a great choice but to package up to the standards of the Corolla S, I might as well buy a Camry SE. The Corolla S is the best choice here. Everyone speaks about the appearance as boring but My Corolla Grabs eyes on the highway, and it looks similar to the 06-11 Camry S which was #1 in sells for its model years.

Absolutely Love!

I got this car 6 months ago after having my Honda for 13.5 years. I chose this over the brand new Corolla because I liked the way it looked, drove and overall interior comfort better. I have no complaints except the seats can get stained easily and it's harder to get out. But the seats are very comfortable, I love the bluetooth capability. Sunroof is great, handles the road nice. I feel very safe in it. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a smaller 4 door sedan.
