Reliable car!!!
bought this car last Nov.2006, very good gas mileage & powerful! easy to drive, & no regrets in buying this car! no wonder it`s the best selling car in the US!
Most RELIABLE car ever
My parents bought their 07 Corolla Brand New from the dealer with 10 miles in January 2007, we still have this car and its currently July 2021 so I believe I am qualified to share with you our experience. We have had this car for EASILY OVER 400,000 miles. I dont know exactly because the Odometer stopped at 299,999 miles about 7 years ago, but I'm very confident we are easily over 400k miles on it.....original engine died at 215k miles, we bought a used engine that allegedly had 110k for $700, and spent another $700 for an auto shop to drop the new engine in the corolla. Aside from tires, oil changes, transmission drain and refills, we have only had to replace shocks once, and that was recently (around 350k miles), the catalytic converters have both failed (mind you, that was at 300k miles so still not bad). Honestly, not many cars can boast about this reliability. Never in my life has this little Corolla left us stranded EXCEPT when the engine died at 215k miles and once when I killed the battery using the stereo.LOL. Yes this car is slow, and in a way its ugly, especially since it has not aged well in terms of aesthetics. Yes it's full of plastic parts inside, the stock speakers sound like crap compared to other modern cars, but having this car at the end of the day has pulled me thru hard times when my corvette broke down. At a time when my cars wouldn't run and were broken down on jack stands or in the mechanic shop, my parents let me borrow their little bad boy Corolla and it kept running and running, and then running some more. Its slow, its ugly, snobby people might look down on you because it is a cheap econobox nobody aspires to drive when they get older (Theres not a single child in the world that tells themself, "When I get big, I want to drive a Corolla!", NEVER. Every little kid aspires to a "Ferrari" or a "Corvette", etc. but at the same time at least it's reliable. if you are thinking about this car, just buy it. Do know its slow, ugly (in my opinion), the speakers are crap, BUT ITS RELIABLE, and GAS Efficient. its also easy to drive because there is a lot of visibility when you are trying to switch lanes of using the rearview mirror.

A great vehicle, fun to drive, super MPG
No complaints about this car, a real value. I read some of the reviews about sluggish performance...not so! Lots of zip. Great MPG. Front drivers seat position a tad tight at times, but comfortable.
New Car
This is my first brand new car, and I love it. I drive in Georgia traffic five days a week so I needed something fuel efficient and this is it. There is nothing fancy about the car, but it drives well and is comfortable so I happy with it!
I was loyal
I remember going with my mom when she purchased her Corolla new in '96 - and her going with me when I bought mine new 10 years later. I am a full time student and work full time, and thought having a new car meant no mechanical problems. The car worked well for the first two years, but has been falling apart since. The ECU has had to be replaced, but the engine problems persist. Toyota apparently has a "no code, no problem" policy. They apologize a lot that you 'are having problems', but that's the extent of their customer service. My engine feels like it's about to fall out, and they refuse to acknowledge that their solution to the recall on my car has not solved the problems.
