I saw it and I liked it
I purchased this Corolla after having my Camry for 10 years. I needed better gas mileage and lower car payments. I am also glad these cars last at least ten years. I was not disappointed. The car is actually more spunky to drive than my old Camry. This car can zip down the highway if I push it. It has more personal space than my old Camry.
Must see to believe
After hours of painful research I narrowed my choices down to the Civic and Corolla. I first test drove the Honda and was convinced that I was going to buy it. I then went to the Toyota dealership to drive the Corolla just to please my wife. The dealer only had the LE with the sunroof and 6 CD option, which bumped up the price more than what I was willing to pay. I took it out on the road and was equally impressed with this vehicle as I was with the Civic. It basically had the same pickup and handling as the Civic. Once back at the dealership the salesman worked out the numbers and we came up with a figure $400 lower than the Civic. Plus I got the options that the Civic didn't have!
Toyota Corolla CE Manual
I just bought the 2005 Toyota Corolla CE manual. It's my very first car ever and I went with Toyota because of their reliability and the low cost of the car. Couln't be happier. Amazing gas mileage. I've put 600 miles on the car and I've only had to fill it up once so far.
Corolla performs, efficiently
After nearly a year with my Corolla, I'm still discovering its amazing fusion of efficiency with performance. Notice I did not use the word "compromise" between performance and efficiency, but fusion. The Toyota engineers have managed to create a car sips gasoline but can kick butt when I ask it to. I love this car. The standard issue tires had to go, and I could ask for more in driver seating comfort, but overall I am delighted with a car that gives the mileage the stodgy environmentalist in me demands, with the fun and sheer power the teenager in me loves. I shut them down on the streets of California. And I can still look myself in the mirror, knowing my car is wasting. Thanks, Toy
I picked a winner!
Car feels a lot sportier than I expected it to -- acceleration is surprisingly peppy, handling is sure, and the tight, short-throw shifter is a joy to work with. Good fuel economy too -- 33 mpg in town, 37 on the interstate (300 miles at 70+ mph) Rear end is a bit chubby, but the front end looks nice -- I didn't buy a Toyota for its looks anyway.
