2014 Toyota Camry SE Sport 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

It’s a great reliable car, 30-32 mpg most of the time Not a power monster but a nice sensible driver! The ride could be a little better and cabin noise is a little noisy. Easy to drive and easy to see out of in traffic Factory tires are junk! Especially the 18” wheels and tires on the se models! We switched ours to 17s and it help the ride tremendously

if you buy a Toyota, and it starts blowing mold.mildew in your face. good luck. Toyota will not cover it under their warrenty because they put it in the back of the owners manual the a/c heat may have a bad smell at times. sorry Toyota, but your car you built makes us sick with upper lung infections. and Toyota motors corp.has said they would call us back. never happened.please don't say, put a filter in it.that only covers the problem. Toyota dealers have done nothing but insult us, with stupid fixes. like ride with the windows down. crank it up, rool the windows down with the a/c on the air it out.last biggest insult was for them to change the Freon at our cost. they refuse to cover any of it. I guess people have to get lung cancer and die before Toyota does anything. we will not sell or trade the car knowing it WILL make people sick. l;ook online at the others with this same problem. and yu can't sue because of paper work signed when the car was bought. btw it was new,not a flood car. the stink started less than a month after buying it. thanks for ripping us of with your death trap car Toyota.

Reliability at its finest

2014 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

I'm 19 years old and was looking for a reliable car that I could trust and feel safe in. I do a lot of driving each day from work and school, and often take many trips to Portland/Seattle. I previously owned a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta that I loved, but unfortunately kept having issues. So when I decided to take out a car loan I did a lot of research on reliable vehicles and found my 2014 Toyota Camry LE at wilsonville in Portland. I couldn't be anymore pleaed with this car. MPG is great and such a smooth, and comfortable ride. Everyone is super impressed by the look of the interior of this car because it doesn't look cheap like some other vehicles. I hope to get plenty of years out of this car and will defiantly recommend Toyota to anyone!

Front seats are a pain in the you know what!

I have owned this SE since June 2014. Mostly used for commuting to work and weekend duties (two HS athletes to follow). On a few occasions I have driven the car to the Carolina coast (from Ohio). The main issue I have with the car is the horribly uncomfortable front seats. I can't drive in the car more than two hours without needing to stop and stretch. I never experienced sciatic pain until I owned this car. I think it's a combination of the low seat position and the thickness of the seating materials. Toyota probably had to thin the lower seat to accommodate the power seat mechanicals. Another issue is if I adjust the seat upward to achieve a more comfortable seating position, I bump my head getting in and out of the car. I'm not very tall (5'10") but this has been an issue as well. I suggest renting this car for a weekend if you are planning on buying one. A 10-15 minute test drive with the salesman doesn't reflect the true character of this car.

2014.5 LE Exceptional Reliability, but CPO = JOKE

Read to the end for all relevant information. If you’re looking for a midsize sedan to reliably and painlessly get you to wherever you need to go with minimal unscheduled maintenance, then the Toyota Camry is for you. Quiet and composed ride on both urban and highway road surfaces with stable steering and handling, though the electric assist power steering provides little feedback to the driver. My average city/highway is around 28-29mpg. Highway mileage is better than 37mpg @75 mph, and over 40mpg @ 65mph. Excellent rear leg room even for me at 6’ 2” with the drivers seat in my driving position. There’s still 4-5” of knee room available in the left rear seat. Excellent trunk capacity, I can even haul my 22” Toro mower in the trunk with ease. Equipped with the reliably bulletproof 2AR-FE 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine, the car makes just shy of 180 horsepower which is sufficient for everyday city and highway driving and commuting, though unfortunately the 4 cylinder powered Camry models are rated to tow 0 pounds. The engine runs very quiet and the transmission shifts very smoothly between the gears at every speed and engine load. I have not experienced the transmission shudder that a lot of others have but the maintenance record showed that the TCM was reprogrammed while the vehicle was still under lease I am the second owner). Known more for reliability than interior quality, the cabin leaves a lot to be desired in comparison to the same model year Honda Accord. Plain and straightforward, the Camrys executed interior is functionally laid out with simple controls for the HVAC and radio. Seats are adequately comfortable and offer sufficient side bolstering, being as such, this is not a performance sedan designed to be thrown into the turns at speed, though with the right tires (Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring) offers exceptional improvement in grip over the factory equipped Michelin Energy Saver AS tires which were terrible in the rain and had nonexistent traction even in light snow. Overall the Toyota Camry is an enjoyable and pleasant car to drive for both short and long distances with excellent outward visibility and no large blind spots. NOW the rust issue... “Toyota Certified Pre-Owned” is an absolute joke! I purchased the car with 19,800 miles from a Toyota dealer in April 2017 for a hair under $15k. Rust bubbles started to form around the body line between the rear bumper cover and right rear fender early spring 2018 when the car had less than 40,000 miles on it. The car had previously been involved in a minor accident which required bodywork to the steel on the right rear fender and bottom of the C-pillar. No where in any of the paperwork provided to me by the dealer did they mention that the car had been involved in an accident and the accident was not reported to CARFAX. Their CPO inspections are so thorough I find it very hard to believe that this was not found during the inspection at the dealership after the car was received. When I confronted the dealership about the rust they claimed that Toyota Certified Pre-Owned vehicles could have up to two separate areas of body work refinishing to qualify as Toyota CPO. Toyota is using misleading marketing tactics and falsely implying through misleading marketing techniques that leads consumers like myself to believe that Toyota CPO is somehow a “better” used vehicle than a non-CPO vehicle. After meeting with the sales manager they “conceded” into paying for half of the body work to repair the rust. $200 out of my pocket to pay for something that should have NEVER been an issue. Had I known that the car had been involved in an unreported accident I never would have purchased it. Toyota CPO is a complete joke. Don’t waste your money on Toyota CPO.
