Give your new Avalon a thorough review

We have been loyal Toyota owners for almost 40 years and have always been a cheerleader of the quality for their products. After buying, and loving, our 2013 Avalon Hybrid we were excited to buy the 2020 version (Hybrid). However, after one day of owning the car I noticed a severe distortion in the rear window. The view through the rear-view mirror was so distracting and distorted that we felt it was a safety issue. The dealership was extremely supportive and helpful but Toyota corporate was not - they acknowledged there was a problem but didn't have a resolution because replacement glass was also distorted. This issue was not isolated to the Avalons, some Camrys also showed the same problem. Thank goodness another Avaon at the dealership had a rear window (a different lot #) that was acceptable. We're now happy but how many other dissatisfied car owners will it take to get Toyota corporate to own up to the issue of a manufacturing defect? We too are missing the Android app as others have mentioned. On the positive side, the ride is phenomenal, engine power is much better, safety features are great, if not a bit overwhelming.

2020 Avalon — Still the best car ever

Now have 61,000 great miles on this car — the best car we've ever owned. We'd buy another one if Toyota hadn't discontinued it. Still get 34-35 mpg on the highway, 26 or so in town. Quiet, comfortable, smooth, powerful, filled with all the latest safety and convenience stuff. Heads-up display, memory steering wheel adjustment, 360-degree camera view — just fine stuff. Had wireless Apple CarPlay briefly. Don't know why it went away. Oh, well. Didn't use it much anyway. Sorry to see the Avalon go.

I had never owned a Toyota or luxury sedan before this. I had always owned Ford Mustangs. When the TRD edition came out I fell in love with it. Im so happy I purchased it. I love the style, interior room, ride quality and fuel economy. It is really a great all around car!!

Sleek, Great Mileage and Easy to Operate

Toyota Avalon Limited Hybrid........Our first new car in over 10 years with all the gadgets and extras. Our sale person was great. Just left our home after explaining some of the little details. Rides very smooth. To me, the cabin in front seems smaller than our older Avalon, and the Limited seats, although beautiful and leather, do seem not quite as large or comfy. A little on the stiff side. Width of seat seems a little smaller. Not sure if it is. Plenty of leg room front and back. The mirror has 3 programmable switches for garage doors and gates. Super easy to program with the HomeLink App. Toyota.com has a neat app that is a trial app, that you can remotely start and lock your car. Plus it has a system similar to OnStar. That is a paid app after a certain period. Sound system seems easy to use. You must plug in your Apple iPhone to us Apple Car play. Not sure if it works with an Android phone. We only have 400 miles on the car. Dealer gave us a full tank of gas, and our range was 430 miles. We have already gone 428 and it shows we still have 195 miles left until empty. You must program your remote (key fob) if you want the car to unlock more than just the driver's door with one click. To unlock all doors you hit fob 2 times. Back seats lay down by pulling levers located in the trunk. Front seats are air-conditioned! Love that. Also heated. Overall, love the car!
