Vehicle2014 Toyota Avalon XLE Touring 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
ReviewI have had my Avalon for about three weeks. It came equipped with Michelin tires. I really like this car. I bought the Touring especially to get the Blind Spot Monitoring in the outside rear view mirrors and the Rear Cross Traffic Monitoring. I had to buy a lot of options that I will never use just to get these and to my opinion they are safety features that are well worth it and they work real well. The car rides nice, handles good with little or no road noise. Really plush and comfortable seats and interior. Great choice for me

This review illustrates the difference between the OEM Bridgesotone Turanzas and Michelins. I had the OEM Bridgestones on my "located" Avalon. I absolutely hated them and the ride. After 1.5 years I read reviews and it seemed the tires were the problem. I switched to Pirelli P7 AS Plus (due to Tire Racks high recommendation) and wow what a difference. Much nicer ride. The tire dealer suggested either Michelins or Pirellis and said they were close but better feedback on the Pirellis and lower cost. Anyway, IMO don't buy this car with the Bridgestone tires on it. They are horrible. Noisy and they get much worse at about 14k. They ride like rocks. Get the Michelins which are the other tires that come on the Avalon. My test drive had the Michelins and it rode much nicer than the car located & delivered. The Pirellis I put on at 16.6k were so different, quiet, softened the ride and yet even better handling. I could not believe Toyota put such poor Bridgestone tires on this car and they wouldn't do a thing about it when I complained about the horrible ride and noise at only 14k. Oh well, buyer be aware!Report it
