Used 2014 Toyota 4Runner SUV Consumer Reviews
Top Quality do everything SUV
Purchased a new 2014 4Runner and absolutely love it. Toyota did a fantastic job with the interior upgrades on the 2014 Limited. Exterior still has that bold yet classy look. Super comfortable interior, seats are the best I've sat in and ventalation/heat in them is great. 2nd row space is generous and storage area in the back is much larger than our old 4Runner. Power is adequate, however a 6th gear would be nice. Other than that love everything about this vehicle. Highly recommend.
Fail from Toyota
Multiple trips back to dealer. Radio/Nav issues with Iphone and Android. Moonroof leaks, drivers window rattles, hood shakes at speed. Not a very well engineered or built vehicle by toyota this time. Poor components. All issues for a vehicle with less than 20k miles.

Best vehicle I've ever owned
I bought this as my main vehicle and as a backup to our tundra for towing a camper or boat. We camp in the mountains of Wyoming and we were thrilled at how well it towed the camper, and accommodated 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog. Handled amazing on the mountain back roads. Great handling in deep snow too. Other than tires, air filters and oil changes I've had no maintenance issues. ...still has original brakes at 103000 miles. Lots of room in cargo area.....if you're a multiple dog owner it's great. Best vehicle I've ever owned, both stylish and utilitarian.

So far, so good
So I've had the 4runner for about a month and logged about 400 miles so far. I bought it because I believe something that looks like an SUV should be off road capable and ready for anything. First impressions are as follows ... - Very comfortable ride for a body on frame architecture. - Engine seems capable enough - Beautiful exterior design (in my opinion) - The sound system (and Entune) could be better. - Gas mileage could be better. I'm looking forward to a chance to test it out off road as soon as possible.
I love this vehicle, except...
The windshield tint or glass causes eye strain, dizziness & headaches on long trips or when commuting daily. I loved everything about this car so much the first 3 months I owned it until I began commuting an hour to work every day and realized that there is something about the windshield that extremely bothers my eyes. My local dealership had a technician drive it and they agreed that it seemed to have a warp to it that made his head hurt while driving it. They replaced it with another factory glass windshield, but it continues to bother me and they say that there is nothing left they can do. I never would have noticed it had I not been driving it so long everyday. Around town or short trips seem completely fine. Other than that it's an amazing SUV that I really love driving! Much roomier than the older 4runners inside. Can't wait until I can get this issue fixed or Toyota recalls the windshield!
