subaru great highway car
i bought this car because my previous subaru was struck by a deer. this car has been completely reliable. i have put over 80,000 miles on it and besides regular normal maintence....i had to replace the water pump and the cam sensor. my '86 subaru had 286,000 miles on it before the deer took it out and this car still has good power and should be around to munch up more miles. my mother in law has a subaru that had almost 300 thousand miles on it(1983) and just bought another as well. get the regular scheduled maintence done along with changing the oil every 3,000 miles....you won't be dissapointed.
Subaru Legacy LS AWD
Subaru Legacy LS sedan with AWD - the best car I ever owned! It went almost everywhere my Jeep can go, and it rarely had any mechanical problems. When it did, it was very inexpensive and very easy to fix. My job requires a lot of driving and the Subaru did it all ... through the snow, the rain, all day and all night! I stayed on the road and watched everybody else go in the ditch. I even got rear-ended by a car-hauler 3 days ago. With over 175,000 miles on it now, the Subaru may have seen its final day, but I walked away from the accident, and my next car will probably be another Subaru.

A Wonderful Car
Our Subaru Legacy Sedan has nearly 110,000 miles on it, and the only negative thing that we have to say about it is that it doesn't feel peppy. Other than that, it has been an excellent car... reliable and comfortable.
subarus rock!
I am completely happy with the purchase of my 1996 Subaru. It has over 100,000 miles, but runs very smoothly. The only downside is that when idling it does kinda shake, but it's not an inconvenience. It's not very zippy and speedy, but once it gets over 50 it is easy to cruise. The cupholder is pretty much worthless, but that is it's only major flaw. If you have the opportunity to find one of these cars, especially for a first time buyer or teenager, spring on it! They are hardy and very reliable.
White 1996 Subaru
I've always loved the Subaru's. The Outback was a change from the Legacy sedan but I was not disappointed in the performance and reliability of the 96 Legacy Outback. I've owned 4 Subarus now and would recommend the cars to anyone.
