Used 2015 Subaru Forester Consumer Reviews
Another great Forester
This is our second Forester, and we are very pleased. It is everything we wanted and expected it to be. We are getting about 22 MPG for real stop and go traffic, and about 31 or 32 for hops to the store or shopping - this is in-city, but not heavy, stop & go.
Death trap on ice
I have lived in wyoming-nebraska all my life and driven on snow packed-icy roads with many different cars...rear wheel, four wheel drive cars as well as pickups. The Subaru forester is the worst vehicle I have ever driven in my life on ice. You have absolutely no control-it feels like you are floating all over the road and if you go anything over thirty mph.....you are totally out of control. Shame on you Subaru for claiming to share the love....this car will end up killing people who trusted your company for designing safe cars!

2015 XT Touring - Day 1
Full disclosure: the car's been in my driveway for a day and these are first impressions with more to follow. I obsess on research before I buy and in this case started with a crush on an Acura AWD which quickly faded before I moved on to a BMW 3-Series Xdrive. The idea of a Forester came out of left field and became viable after a test drive. I fell in love with the excellent visibility, easy access and turbo engine (I owned an 05 Legacy wagon GT manual and it was a rocket). The hook - 20K less than a Bimmer and better AWD than its competitors.
Winter driving
I did the research and all I all saw by the major review sites was excellent. Purchased the 2015 Forester and liked it originally. Then I took a trip from Detroit to Chicago, the roads were icy but traffic was moving at 60-70 mile per hour clip along the freeway. The Foresters rear end would slip side to side at 35-40 mph. this contiued to happenfor the next hour as i drove with my hazards on.( Yes, I was that guy!)Finally due to safety concerns, losing my rear wheels next to speeding semi's, I drove side roads the remaining 100 miles to Chicago.I spoke with service Mgr. she said Subaru called and asked if she had heard any complaints concerning this same problem. So they are aware.
Lemon
Bought brand new. Has be in and out of dealer all the time. Will not but a Subaru again. Would have considered it IF Subaru stood begins their product, they did not. I just got a lemon and I’ve been stuck with it for 60,000 miles.
