The Best Car, For the Best Price overall
I Love my new Saturn. It looks more like a luxury car than anything Saturn has made before. It also has more room inside, which is great for a 6 foot tall guy(unlike the first Saturns). My insurance dropped about 500 dollars less per year (last car was a Volkswagon Jetta). just a lower overall cost of ownership. It also helped that Saturn had great end-of-model-year saving for the 2003's so my payment was actually under 300 a month. I also loved the no pressure, helpful sales person who helped my find everything I wanted in a car.
Love This Car
I fell in Love with my Saturn L200. She is a beautiful car. I wish Saturn was not going away. My dream was to own one of their Sky (sporty) vehicles. She is dependable, and I still get compliments on her. I really wish Saturn had made it through the bad economy. I will miss them. They made a great affordable American Car. My baby is at 97,000 miles, and I pray she will still hold strong for many more miles to come.

cheap on gas
bought this car with 178k miles on it for $300.00. needed very little work and the work that was done was VERY cost efficient. new blower motor($67),blower motor resistor($55), blower motor fan switch($22), front struts($180 w/ new bushing plates), outter tie rods($35), new speakers($110) along with the deck(from prev. car) i put in (not needed but i need music, helps me drive calmly), gas door($20) due to prev. owner not taking care of vehicle. mechanically this vehicle is amazing and very basic compare to many other vehicles ive worked on. mainly bought the 03 l200 to save on gas in bad riding weather considering i have a bike and a old tahoe that loves gas. all the work has been done in my garage so shop cost of fixing is oblivious to me since not all shops charge the same per flag hour.

I hope it lasts when payments are done.
I bought it off dealer lot. I had a bug to buy a station wagon, but the European offerings weren't affordable. A car that ran fine on 87 octane gas would have precluded them from consideration, anyway. The LW200 handles the Interstate just fine; did a couple off long trips just fine. Fuel pump issues. What can I say, the LW200 had it too, mine died at 87,000 miles. Before that, the car would have trouble starting; the engine wouldn't fire up, or hesitate when mashing the gas pedal (rpms would drop before the car decided it would take off). I had to replace the AC condenser at 82000 miles; it developed a leak during a hot July day in 2007. It's an okay platform for hauling my stuff.
Malcontent with my Saturn
My vehicle was purchased with about 14,000 miles on it. I am so grateful that I purchased an extended warranty. I have had the following items to replace: horn, radio (CD would not eject), fuel pump, air conditioning condense, rotors, battery, one gasket, power steering rack, bushing, etc. I also have had minor transmission work. I am very satisified with the quality of work and the customer service of the Saturn dealership, but very discontent with the Saturn that I own. some of these items were basic maintenance, but it appears that I have bought a lemon. My next purchase will not be a GM Saturn. I am planning to buy a Toyota! I do not have any guilt about supporting a non-domestic car.
