6 Satisfied Years with the ION

I must say that this car was fun to drive. It handled better than any car I drove, even my new 2009 Cobalt. I really liked having the dash in the middle, you just have to get used to it. Of course I had little problems here and there, nothing major. I shouldn't have bought a new model of car the first year it came out. I should have waited till 2004 to buy the ION after all the little kinks where worked out. Overall I was pretty satisfied with the ION. Only broke down on my once in 6 years. The car still looked great when I traded it in last week. I love the fact that Saturns don't rust. I would recommend this car to anyone, but it's better to buy a 2004 or newer model.

Bought this car in March 2013 with 132,000 miles, now has 145,000 and I am very happy with it! Does great in the snow with All-Seasons. I commute 44 miles round trip a day, 5 days a week and this car just keeps on going and serving me well. Sure, I could find issues with it, but I think any issues are mostly due to its two previous owners and the fact that it's 11 years old with 145,000 miles. By the way, super glad I found one with a manual. So much fun!

Great Improvement

Ion 1 is a fantastic improvement over SL, especially with peppy 2.2L DOHC engine, finally 5A option, and fun CD player. Love electric power steering, and A/C doesn't drag car's performance down like old SL. Nothing but rave reviews from everyone so far.

Bang for the Buck

We just bought a new ION to replace the my daughter's SL1. (the SL1 provided 48,000 miles of economical and maintenance free driving). The ION has nice design; the composite panels are the best choice for a vehicle that will be parked streetside; and Saturn's economical performance is hard to beat. We were pleasantly surprised with the quiet and smooth ride performance of the ION. At 70 mph is almost comparable to my 2002 A4. The added HP and torque makes the ION a well-rounded vehicle for fun, comfort and economy. I have to question the professional reviews I've read as being biased and under-rating of the Saturn.

I absolutely love this car! I wasn't even looking to get a new car but the people at Saturn of Orlando were so wonderful and the payments are so affordable that I couldn't say no! My new car has so many wonderful features and it looks so stylish too! I have never had power everything on a car...and the trunk is huge. I love the way it rides and how funky it looks. It's very unique looking.
