Used 2009 Nissan Murano Consumer Reviews
Best yet
We loved our old Murano and missed it in the recent snows we have had and the room it afforded to take dogs and gear. So we purchased a new one and couldn't be more pleased. The car like handling is even better and so are all the options. The Murano is just plain fun to drive. You almost forget it is an SUV. And the gas mileage is not bad. There is plenty of spunk too delivered through a smooth CVT that is also an improvement. The spunk though comes at a price - premium fuel. We looked at Toyota, Honda, etc. but are delighted with the Murano.
Very Please with Murano
Recommended by other Murano owners and glad I purchased this. Great rode trip vehicle. Storage space is limited. Very comfortable with 4 adults. Side view mirrors are xlarge and makes up for limited rear view mirror visibility. Very quiet overall at any speed; but if if external winds are reasonably high, the Murano doesn't smoothly cut through them and you get some cabin noise (but it isn't terrible). Nav system w/ XM traffic is fantastic. Display is large and clear. At 6'4" I required something that would fit me and the leg, hip and shoulder room are very adequate.

my second murano
I like this car so much that I had to get another one,,, even after having a 04 model with transmission trouble and front wheel bearing trouble, I understood that that was just the new model problem. Even though my 04 was a good car, this one is even better,,,
09 Murano SL
We traded in a Lexus RX a year ago for a Honda CRV, and have missed the comfort. Went shopping and found the SL more comfortable and quiet than the new RX for $10K less. Looked at the Edge as well but it just wasn't refined enough - the power lift gate support looked like it was just added - oh wait, it was, whereas the Murano had the lift designed into the upper support - nice touch. MPG could/should be better, only getting around 19-20 combined. Only have 2k miles so can't attest to reliability. My last Frontier was excellent. Love the dual panel moonroof but it is a little noisier than expected
Getting worse with age
I have had my Murano for a little over a year and a half. I love it, however...in that time period I have had to replace my battery twice. The problem I am having now is the battery will not hold a charge. I have to charge the battery frequently, but it only lasts a week or so, and I don't drive very much. Also the dealership can't figure out what is wrong with it either. But I am learning that this is a common problem with Nissans. If someone could only figure out how to fix it the car would be perfect!
