Best car i ever owned
I had more fun with this car than any other car i ever owned. Moved up to a Nissan Quest.
improve interior
Car looks great however too much invested in exterior and the interior leaves alot to be desired. Car is too noisey in the inside and the seat was poor quality. I ended up selling car back to dealership as a result of the seat.

Great
I love my new car but gas is to high now.
Nice
This is a great car at that price. It was a good buy for me because its a good performing vehicle.
Excellent
The car that I bought is a 2005 2.5s Altima. This car rides like a dream. In my opiion it looks like a German made car with 15.000 less price tag. In June I took this car through ten states (3,000)miles. It handled the highways like adream for a 4 clylinder. The comformt was unveliable.
Great Buy
Going from a gas guzzling Camaro to my new Altima was a great change. I get anywhere from 25-32 mpg which is a HUGE difference. I miss the pep of the Camaro but you will be surprised what this little 4 cyl can do, not to mention the leg room! The lumbar support in the driver's seat makes a long trip more comfortable. For the price, you can't beat the quality and performance...It's a Great Buy!
I Love MY CAR!!!
I always wanted an Altima. My husband was so sweet and let me go and look at one. Before we left, we were signing papers!!! I almnost cried!!! This is my first BRAND new car!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Looks Good & Feels Good Too!!!
I've had my 04' Altima since New Years day and I L-O-V-E my baby. Although its only a 4 cylinder, you would never be able to tell because it drives beautifully. It looks so damn sexy when I wash it (sunsoma sunset)! I wish I could bring it in the house with me.
Nissan Altima
I never thought I would own any car made by any company other than Chevrolet until I bought a Chevy Malibu. We had nothing but problems from the get go. We have had a wonderful experience with our Altima. I for one am thrilled my husband convinced me that I needed a new car. I LOVE MY ALTIMA
Option to the Maxima
Good power, avg 25mpg highway and i have a lead foot, handles well for front wheel drive, roomy, surprised my friend with his mercedes 400e seemed to have less room then the altima
Never again!
V6 engine is a +. Interior has a lot of space. Exterior looks very good to be called an Altima. The parts on and in the car is something else. Got my 2004 Altima in Dec. of 2003 and the o2 sensor wend bad @ 1200 miles after that was the left strut at 6000 miles. Then the right at 6800 miles. Over and over. Never ending. Total times struts were replaced is around 7 times for a 2004 Altima w/ 17800 miles. Now Nissan Service has me going in again for a window molding to be repaired for the 4 time now. Nissan Service, and the Altima. NEVER AGAIN! Tips for the ones thinking about the new Altimas. Don't do it. Check all websites w/ info on the Altimas. Wish me luck w/ my lemon.
First-time Nissan owner
I bought my first Nissan last year after owning a Saturn. The Nissan is MUCH more reliable than the Saturn was. So far, I've only had routine maintenance work done. I feel safe in the Altima.
Disappointment compared to 1994 Altima
I purchased this car in new 2004, after driving a 1994 Altima into the ground and loving every mile. This car has cost me quite a bit in maintenance (religious about that) and repairs, and I have a clutch waiting to go (drove 250K miles on last clutch so don't blame the driver). The interior is chintzy, the cup holder broke just out of warranty and will cost a mint to fix, the glove compartment barely opens, the list goes on with inconveniences. I will keep this car until it dies because it is relatively fun to drive & somewhat reliable. Yet, compared to the 1994 Altima it is a disappointment... the pretty boy of Altimas. Nissan cheaped on value to deliver a good looking car.
Fun to drive
I love this car. Since it is my wife's car I dont get to drive it enough. Excellent highway mileage. I will agree that the interior has a somewhat of a cheap feel to it but if you choose the right color combination you can minimize it. The 3.5 se has way more look and drive that any other car in the price range.
Love/Hate this car
For the most part, I love this car. I have owned it for about 18 months. I use my '94 Camry for the daily drive to work. This car is used on weekends and traveling. In town, the road noise is okay. On the interstate, sometimes it is terrible. My sister and I were shouting at one another on one stretch of Interstate. It is a beautiful car. I get lots of compliments on it. It is a comfortable ride--much more so than the Camry. It is also fun to drive but sometimes seems "big" to turn and park. Only maintenance so far. The one problem I have had is when I have a passenger. Two different people have knocked the shift out of drive--both times it was pretty scarey.
Not Happy!
I bought a 2004 Nissan Altima in June of 2005. September of '05 the fuel pump went out on it and was supposedly fixed and covered under my warranty. My car had to be towed to the dealership. In May of '06, I had a transmission fluid leak which took 4 trips into the dealership for them to find exactly where the leak was. This was also covered under my warranty. Now, 1 1/2 weeks ago, my car failed to start again. Once the dealership checked it out, they stated it was the crank position sensor. This is not covered by my warranty and it's going to cost us $140. I am so unhappy with Nissan and have called the Nissan customer service to request they pay for the problem, they won't return my calls.
fuel mileage poor 4 cyl like v6
just got car, has 25000 miles. drove 1000 got 22.5 mpg city &29 hwy. my 95 avalon v6 gets better at 24/31mpg. like style, sound, hot seats and all the toys. watch the gear shift, its tricky to work. also, don't lose your keys, they are dealer only item @ 128.00 ouch. two recalls cost 775.00 paid by nissan. so far so good. got agreat price 12.5m good value hope i don't have too much mechanical problems
Best Of All of Them
I'm in my 60s and for all the cars I have bought and driven over the years from Chevys, Fords and other imports, this car is the best of the breed. It's comfortable, it's fun to drive and very very reliable. If I had enough money I would buy one for every day of the week.
A thing for Altimas
This was my 2nd Altima. I had a '95 that I bought used in '96, kept it until '05 (160k miles) when I bought my 2nd one (also used). These cars definitely seem to have problems w/the O2 sensors (both of mine did), but overall are reliable. Unfortunately, I just totalled my 2nd one (at 73k miles) so I am off this weekend to by another :(
Great car
2nd car I ever owned. Have had only one alternator replacement, valve head gasket replacement, some sensors and both catalytic converters as major repairs. Other than that, the car has been super good. I have spent a total of about $9000 for all repairs AND maintenance, including tires in 14 years of ownership. I have put over 250K miles on it and it has NEVER left me stranded. 70K of those miles were in NYC and those roads and the stop and go destroys the car. However, the car is still going strong. Of course, I have done most of the repairs and maintenance myself. So I have saved a VERY large amount in labor. 2021 Update. I sold the car with 277,000 and it was still going strong. Hope the new owners get a lot more miles out of it. Have a 2019 Altima now and this new one seems like a good car. It only has 10K miles on it so we'll see what it does.

It just keeps going.
This car has only averaged the normal maintenance of a car with this much mileage. It has been a joy to own, with very few faults!

Great Car, Buy a Camry !
My wife and I have an 04 and an 05, both 2.5S models. The 05 has held up pretty good so far, only having to replace an O2 sensor but the 04 is rubbish. Brakes are bad and need replaced often, had an O2 replaced, radiator/AC fans, rotors, rattles and noises. There is a rattle coming from the engine compartment. Check engine just came back on, again. Code P0420, catalytic converter. Warranty goes out after 80K on cat convts and after that you're on your own. $950 to fix +engine may be compromised. I really like the car when it's parked. I'm scared to drive it. Lucky me I own an 03 Corolla which never lets me down. Absolutely no problems. If you like having car problems a lot get an Altima !
hot to deaf
since buying my atlima i know this is the best car for me. its not only looks good but it drives good. you can own it for a good price.
2003 Nissan Altima 3.5SE
Best compromise between a "family" sedan and a sports sedan I have ever seen or owned. Love to drive it.
Smooth Ride
Fun to drive car and very smooth on the highway. Tons of room inside especially in the rear seat and a huge trunk. Has enough power to have fun with. Girls love it when I let them drive my car.
Worth the cost
Compared it to the Camry and for value and styling it was the better buy. With the limited amount of miles we have on the car it has performed well.
VDP
IT WAS COOL AT FRIST BUT WHEN YOU HAVE IT FOR A TIME IT IS LIKE A NORMAL CAR
great car
I have owned this car for 2 months and i love it. It handles like any high priced car and has amazing acceleration. for the price you can't buy a better car. It looks great too.
george
I have driven SUV's in the past 15 years and I did not think I would like a car but this car has the get up and go that I like and it is great to drive. I don't know if I will go back to an SUV. Rahalchevybuick.com is where I bought mine in Marianna,Fl and they are great people. I got black interior is the only complaint that I have so far. 3.5 SE Altima with Sports pkg. Black interior shows every little speck or lint.
Excellent car at an affordable price
Altima has roomy interior with confortable front and back seats. Also has very large trunk space. It runs very quite with smooth drive.
Too many repairs
I have had to bring this car back to the dealership numerous times. I've always had to bring it back more than once for the same repair. Now I keep having sensors go out, it's out of warranty and I'm spending a small fortune in repairs. Want to trade it in, not sure at this point if i ever want another Nissan. I love the design but the reliability is extremely disappointing. No way I should be having this much trouble, this car should last 200,000 miles easily.
