I can't stress enough what a beautiful car this has been. I've put over 20,000 miles on it so far and it's been a fantastic car in every respect. Great mileage, complete comfort, handles wonderfully. Not a single problem yet, I doubt any will arise soon. I get about 30mpg on highway and mid twenties (depending on driving habit) in the city. It's put to the test on Los Angeles streets and highways everyday and takes it like a champ. Great for long trips with four adults- PLENTY of room. Adult passengers in the back seat have ample leg room, without the front seats having to scooch up at all!

I bought the Altima new and have all the features of leather, sun roof, Bose sound (which is the best) ABS, side air bags, etc. I use it mostly for commuting and now have 105,000 miles on it. The mileage is great (28-30 mpg) for work and 32 mpg on longer trips. I've only had one problem about 6 months ago it wouldn't start once in a while and would quit while slowing down for a light. Nissan sent out recall at the same time which fixed the problem. My only complaint would be the poor quality material of the seat which started cracking about a year after the warranty expired. Also the automatic shifting is like working a rubic cube.

I bought an Altima in 1993, the first year in production, and drove the car for 130K miles. The engine never wore out, but I decided to trade the car because the interior had seen too many hot summers. I could afford more car, but I didn't even have to decide which new car I was going to buy. The Altima was one of the best and most reliable cars I ever owned. My new Altima is awesome in appearance, handling, comfort, and price. I hope to enjoy many years of dependability with my 2004 SL with leather seats and convenience package, as I had with my 1993 GXE.

I purchased this car last week! So far I love everything about it and love driving it!! Car looks like I paid alot more for it than what I did. I bought the convenience package w/ mine and love the extra's I got! If you are going to get this car, pay a little more for the foglights, alloy tires, & sunroof. You'll enjoy the extra's on the convenience package

This is a very fast car. Much faster than my Grand Prix GT that I had before this. Interior materiels are really cheap and crummy. Nissan really cut corners on the inside materials. Excellent engine. Ypu have all the power you,ll ever need and then some. Engine noise in loud on the inside.

The dealership was awesome, very friendly and did not push us. Test drived two vehicles and both drove great. Very impressed with the altima. Found it very competitive with the honda accord but overall we were more impressed with the altima. Because it had more inside space, better body style and more affordable.

Next to the Honda Civic this is the best car for your dollar. You get an excellent & very comfortable city and highway ride. Excellent feedback in steering and handling. Top notch sound system w/ Boise. Eye turning exterior style. A very heavy a-la-carte package yet resonable base balances it out.

You show me another car out there that I can but for $25k that combines, performance, space, reliability, and looks and I'll buy it. As far as I am concerned every other car comes up a little bit short in in one of those areas, or has a higher price tag in order to match the Altima in those areas. The Altima can't be beat, literally and figuratively, just ask the Bimmers, Audis, Acuras, Mustang GTs that I leave choking in my dust on daily basis.

I had a 2000 Altima which I did not like at all. My 2003 model is head and shoulders better in pickup, perfomance, appearance and design. I have the touring model, which is a showstopper, literally. A man stopped me in the street to ask what the car was, so taken was he with its appearance. The handling and performance match the looks. Lots of back seat and trunk room, too.

My wife bought a 3.5SE in May 2003. She let me drive it occasionally and I fell in love with it. Bought my own 2 months later. Satin white is beautiful on this car. The power is phenomenal, especially such quiet, smooth, neck snapping acceleration. It's not always the power you use but what what's in reserve. This has RESERVE !!! Can't wait to start it up in the morning. absolutely the most fun car I've ever driven. And all this for $21,200. Awesome Plus !!!

I shopped for a car for approximately 3 months, test-driving many different types of cars. I drove Buicks, Camrys, Plymouths, Dodges, and VW's. My price range was $20K or less, out the door and I was a cash buyer. The Nissan had all that I wanted in a car, (keyless entry, auto, CD) and had plenty of get up and go, even with a 4 cylinder. I couldn't be happier.

the nissan altima is fun car for all ages. the 17" tires on the 3.5 model improve the look and feel of the vehicle. acceleration from the start is quick. the only thing i would change is the dash board intruments and really only able to be looked at by the driver.

I got an '04 SE 5 speed with floormats as my only option. Great car, very fast, lots of room, and handles decently. Even the gas mileage hovers around 27-28 when commuting at 75mph, which I am more than happy with. True, Nissan cut some costs on the interior, especially the door panels, and there is a good amount of torque steer when you gun it from a stop, but the build quality is excellent and I am very pleased so far. If you are looking for a new fairly inexpensive sedan with a powerful, flexible, and extremely reliable V6 and don't need a bunch of extra options, this car is tough to beat.

This car performs really good for a 4 cylinder automatic. Once you drive it, it's hard to believe its only a 4 cylinder engine. I find the ride quiet and pleasurable. Afterall tires do make a difference with regard to road noise. This car came through with Bridgestone tires, good choice from Nissan, excellent tire. The cheaply made door panels have no affect on the overall performance.

I love the Nissan. It makes me feel so safe because of it's design (did you know it's made from one piece of steel, not many fused together?), and I never have any problems. If it weren't for this car, I wouldn't have been able to avoid a wreck with some stupid teenager. The price is so much lower than the worth, and the value stays high. I love my car, and I know anyone else who buys one will love it to! Also, although I bought the 2.5, I specialized it with everything the 3.5 has, and even wound up saving a little money!

Actually, my Nissan is a 2002 purchased in oct 2002. So, 2 yrs and 5 months reveals much about the car, and that is; reliable, reliable, reliable. The 3.5 still provides a lot of giddyup. My 6'3" friend remarked that he had more than ample head and leg room in the rear seat ! The trunk is more than spacious and fuel economy is still exceptional. All, things being equal pricing beat out camry (significantly) in final decision to buy

Don't buy this or any other Nissan. Nissan is not standing behind it's product and charging for repairs on a recall. My car stalls and Nissan knows why but refuses to fix their faulty product. Cam and crank sensor need to be replaced or your car will stall. Nissan refuses to fix this at their cost stating that it reprogramming the ECM fixes this. Well it does not and they know it. I am never buying a Nissan again and I suggest that you don't either....unless... you have a death wish. FYI it stall on turns. No ABS, power brakes, power steering and all that good stuff that you need to control your car.

I love the car's looks, especially the rear view. We had aftermarket leather seats installed, but am happy with the other interior. I traded a Buick Century for this and am most disappointed in the Altima's ride. I even lowered the tire pressure to try to help. Also, my Century V6 use to get about 32mpg on the road and Altima 4cyl only gets about 28mpg.
