Nice Car

Have had two Lexus ES350 and one RX350. All were nice, but the RX wasn't the good quality as expected, and was boring. My wife loved the RX, so it took some prodding to change. So far we have 900 mi on the MB E350 and it is much more fun to drive with good quality. Will likely miss the Lexus free maintenance, but this car seems worth it. Very quiet, great music system, nav, etc. The panorama sunroof sold my wife, but it uses a screen to keep out sunlight instead of a solid cover. So in Texas the screen allows some heat through. Keep that in mind. A/C is extremely cold though, so no worries. The Command interface works well for me. Transmission lever is cool but different.

Traded my 2010 E350 in for a 2011, in black. Couldn't resist the 2000 loyalty cash, 3 years free Mbrace services including stolen vehicle recovery assistance, plus 1.9 % financing for 66 months. This 2011 has the LED daytime running lights, and the vehicle is much quieter than my 2010 was. Ride is also smoother, at least it seems that way. No problems with the 2010, and no problems with the 2011. I felt that the shifting was a bit buffeting, but when I told the service manager, he said that would go away after a few days when the computer gets used to the way I drive. Well, he was right - unbelievable. Still the best car on the road for the money.

E350 My Ride Update

This is my 1st Benz. I have black with black interior. I've always liked the look of this car but initially I didn't like it after I purchased it. I drove a BMW prior and loved the way it handled. The E isn't bad it just wasn't a BMW. I don't have the xenon headlights and the stock headlights sucked at night, I replaced them with aftermarket HIDS and it's much better. The windshield wipers are also painfully slow so I use rainx washer fluid and it works pretty well. The car had 48K on it when I got it and now has 108. The autoclimate is one of the best I've owned, you set it and forget it but I've had some trouble with it cooling then blowing hot air on high fan and dealer hasn't been able to fix the problem. Like I said, the car grew on me, I love the look and always get compliments when its clean. My wife has a 09 Lexus 350 and the Benz initially felt sluggish compared to it. I think the Lexus seats are slightly more comfy on long trips but I'd prefer the driver of the benz vs the Lex. I'd buy another 350 but I think I'd prefer the 550. In my family because I purchased an E350, my sis bought a 350 as did a cousin and he also bought an S550. I'd recommend it but make sure you drive it 1st and not just around the block. UPDATE:My car now has 176k miles on it. It has remained trouble free. I still like the car but it eats tires, especially the back ones as I have stacked tires. The a/c acts up periodically as mentioned earlier and I’m told it needs a new compressor. I’ve also added a 08 CLS to the fleet and man it’s really nice, plenty of power and comfort. I bought from a private party with 123k miles and it now has about 150k. It too has been trouble free. I was recently at the shop with it and was told it also needs a new compressor. Update. The car now has 250k miles and it still runs good. I’ve had to do a transmission service and tune-up. The drivers seat has started to tear. The a/c compressor continues to work and this past summer a mechanic said it had a leak at the Shroader valve, he replaced it and I haven’t had anymore problems with it, blows ice cold. I’m in the market for a new car, might go S Class or 7 or the X7 Bimmer. Now my son has a 5 Series BMW a little newer than my E and they drive night and day different. The bimmer has a fun factor to it the Benz doesn’t have and I love how the 5 transmission shifts and how the car handles curves, the E is more of a cruiser, at 250k miles it still gets compliments, the E holds 4 people better in good comfort and it has that taste of snob appeal. I’m going to keep the car, it’s great to have a backup.

There were 2 problems with this car. First, the front bumper is too close to the ground and too easily scratched and damaged. Second, the camber adjustment on all four wheels was poorly conceived and built. I had to buy an after-market camber kit to stop ruining tires. I have it fixed now. The car is a joy to drive and is quiet and very comfortable.

Gorgeous Ride and Car

My 2011 E350 has been a DREAM CAR. It rides so beautifully. Have never had one problem with it. For a couple years I drove to Palo Alto from North Bay and it was a white knuckle drive everyday. The Distronic Drive was always on track, and made the drive palatable. The lane Change/Blind Spot assistance is remarkable, and kept me out of several bad accidents. It literally pulled me out of a lane on several occasions, before i ran into the other car. It also kept me awake when driving home, late at night, because it monitors driving and can see that if there is drifting, shaking the wheel to wake the driver. The seats are sublime. Just absolutely LOVE this car. Aside from the amazing engineering of this car, it is absolutely gorgeous. I've got a white pearl, with almond MB-TEX interior. I frequently get compliments on it.

Highly impressed after 12,000 miles

I have owned the E350 sedan for a year and a half and alternate it between a 2009 S550 and a 2007 BMW 530i. I live in Costa Rica where the roads consist of endless pot holes and hap-hazard patches with undulating curves and steep inclines. The E350 has proven to be a very capable car and is the one I choose for the twisty mountain roads. It is not outright sporty, but extremely agile and confident on the curves and absorbs the rough surfaces without completely isolating the driver, no simple feat considering the coil suspension. The engine and transmission make short work of passing and climbing steep hills and the brakes don't exhibit fade on long downhill treks. Overall, highly impressed.

This is the 2011 E-Class sedan with the sport package in obsidian black with grey interior. After some initial problems with the airmatic suspension (replaced rear air springs) and rattles in the rear of the vehicle (replaced seat belt rollers and roller blind system), the vehicle is now unbeatable in style, comfort and performance.

Great beauty from the get go. The overall looks are amazing. No one can say that it's just another mid sized car! It definitely has its personality. Drive is fun but you must learn to use the paddle shifters to gain optimal performance, don't expect it out of the box. Overall the drive is smooth, but a few strange sounds have come in the past couple of months when I have backed it out of my drive way making me thank God that I still have warranty.

My E-350 is approaching 100,000 miles and I am still in love with it. It is as solid and comfortable as when new. There have been zero repairs needed and the car still drives like new. I bought it primarily for road trips and continue to enjoy it on both interstate highways and challenging mountain roads here in Colorado. The dealership is incredible. The only issue i had was the wood trim fading. The factory authorized replacing all of it at no charge. I keep thinking I should get into something newer and have taken several cars for a test drive including Audi, Cadillac, BMW and others. Then I get back in my Benz and reflect on how I still prefer it to the others. Even drove a couple new Mercedes but decided to keep this one. Anyway, that's my story. This is my all time favorite car.

I have owned three Mercedes E Class cars since 2000. Subtle cut backs on quality, trying to keep the cost down, did not distract from the overall performance. The ride, handling and performance are still first class, making the car a good value for the money.

OK performance, Poor interior material quality

The performance is ok, and comfortable level is ok. However, after five years, the interior materials are deteriorating and torn apart. For my car, the car seat cover is torn apart and the buttons on the steering wheel need to be replaced. All because of poor quality of the artificial material used. For example, the buttons on the steering wheels are wrapped with some plastic film and are now all messed up.

This is my 2nd E-Class and 4th MB. I have 2011 E-350 4Matic, AMG package with PI. Capri Blue with Tan interior The car rides great! It is very classy and sexy both inside and outside. The phone interface is great with the Iphone and the voice recognition is pretty good as well. The ride is excellent. After test driving this, I really did not want to see another vehicle.

Ex-BMW owner here. Since day 1. Wind noise at right rear window. Dealership had it for a week and couldn't figure it out. Really. Maybe isolated to just my vehicle, but very frustrating nevertheless! Great looking car, fantastic lines. Tons of comments from random people. Great interior and interior lighting. Decent if a bit bland on the driving attributes. Light but responsive steering. Inexplicable road hum from tires. Smooth hwy ride, substantial feeling, but at low speeds, occasional trouble finding right gear and can feel it. A few unacceptable and irritating squeaks and rattles already. Only have 1100 miles on the darn thing!

Traded in my 2010 E350 Sport for a 2011 E350 Sport, new one is black with almond/black interior, fold down rear seats, premium 1 pkg and tire/wheel pkg. Rides as good as the 2010. Nice improvement with LED daytime running lights. Navigation outstanding w/voice command system. Ride and handling is superb. This one is quieter on the road due to Continental Tires vs. Pirelli Tires on my 2010. Build quality is astounding. Fit and finish are great. Paint is flawless, rare in a black car. Addition of one button for front and rear fog lights, big improvement. Fuel economy is about the same as I experienced with the 2010. Got car because of a great deal, didn't need it, but what a DEAL!

I purchased my CPO in 8/14 with 30k mi, and added the MB extended warranty. With approximately 40k mi per year, it was still under bumper-to-bumper coverage until I hit 185k mi, and only had to take it in once for a bearing in the rear differential, but it was still worth the extra cost.

My 4th Mercedes. I love it. Made the mistake of trading my '08 in on a 2011 BMW 535i. It was a dog! Traded back to 2011 Mercedes E550 Sport. No comparison. E550 more luxurious, just as sporty, better styling, much more comfortable, motor is much smoother, and transmission shifts much much smoother.

Have had the new car for a little more than a week and am extremely pleased so far. Great blend of luxury and sport. Car feels more substantial than expected for a mid-sized sedan. Airmatic suspension works very well and provides nice option for luxury vs sport in the same car. Interior is incredibly well done. Very comfortable and extremely well appointed with all the current gadgets. Exterior styling is sleek and sporty. Rear end styling could be better, but generally like it overall. Test drove multiple cars/makes including BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, but the Mercedes just simply felt right and IMO had the best blend of true luxury and sporty look and feel. No buyer's remorse here.

The brand its suck. bad quality after 20k miles and get better after 40k miles. I own a E350 2011 for about 9 months and drives worse than my GMC 2006. they customer service Benzusa.com its even worse 1 hour in hold, 2 message for call back and still not one call. Two times at the dealer and always the same lame answers. very pour quality build. this is what I have left for people like me to know the real deal. Don't spend money just because the name. I'm very disappointed with my first and last Mercedes benz. Buy other regular brand because now these days its the same. I'm going back to Honda or Toyota with better MPG, lower services cost and they can be around for ever, very different from my Mercedes Benz E350 2011 with only 40k and already needs main bearing inside the engine, engine mounts and front suspension its loose. all this is ok by the Mercedes benz dealership in las vegas nv. every sad. 1 year later and I wasn't wrong, gets worse, brakes got bad again, front and rear rotors are getting bad due a bad quality brake pads from Mercedes Benz Oem. Left wheel bearing it's bad. I'm waiting until the tires comes off to fix it. This car ots been the worst I own in years. Never again.

I bought this car because of its truly beautiful lines. The car is a typical Mercedes---solid, airtight, good fit and finish. My car had some initial issues with rough shifting and Mercedes was able to correct the problem to my satisfaction. Overall, I think Mercedes builds solid, well designed cars and this model is a respectable entrant in the mid-size luxury sedan category.

Great performance, can keep up with modern BMWs and more. The comfort with the airmatic isn’t very noticeable but the adjustable aspect of the suspension is a nice feature to use occasionally. No problems with the car whatsoever besides the actual airmatic system which is known for faults (just do your maintenance people you’ll be fine). The interior could be better, hard plastic in visible areas as opposed to BMW and Audi of the same gen it’s lacking in modernization and mild quality but if anything just buy an S-Class. The presafe system as well as the adaptive cruise control and non visible aids make me confident I’ll come out in one piece if an accident were to even occur. The technology is good for the year. With the price you can get them for today I will say my purchase was completely worth it.

I bought a brand new 4Matic E-350 Benz in JAN 2011. The car needs a transmission. I have been fighting with MB USA to just give me an even trade. I now see I paid TOO MUCH for it because they want me to take a $16K negitive equity. I'm very dissapointed in the customer service that I have received. I would never recommend anyone purchase an E calss or any other car from MB in Alex, VA. I needed a car with all wheel drive so I traded in my 2002 S-class for the 2011 E-class; BIG mistake. I went back the next day to get my car and they sold it. What does that say? All I want to remedy the situation is a fair trade in. They have offered to pay my notes for 2 months! NOT HAPPY.

Road noise got to me, steering lifelless and too light.Good dart if you floor it & wait for 1 sec, otherwise, tiring in both S & C mode. Daft ergonomics. Steering column gear shifter and foot parking brakes are MB signatures that should be killed in the 80s. Signal stalk should be where the cruise control stalk is. And the turning knob for wipers is so Chrysler/Ford. Thirsty. Dash designs looks like a cross btw a Honda/Camaro - cheap. Cheap also applies to rear air vent plastic housing. BMW/Audi beater it is not. Maybe will give a 300M run for the money. Oh, sorry, wrong price bracket. Nav system display & voice command out of sync and that lifting intonation at end of sentence - AARG

We have had our E350 4Matic Sedan for 4 years now. After having several C Class Vehicles, wanted something with more room. Presently have over 80,000 miles on it. Always Dealer serviced. Still rides and drives like new. Highly recommend!

Beautiful car; handles well. I have the "radar" package (Distronic) and it is worth every penny. Quality build. I would hope to write a review in a year to see if I am still as satisfied as I am now.
