Like Driving a Cloud on Fire

The 2022 CLS 450 is a stylish , well appointed and amazingly tech savvy car . It drive so smooth it is like driving a cloud . The seats compensate in turns , the safety features keep you from making a mistake but most of all the MBUX Voice Control system sets Mercedes Benz apart from other cars in its class - when I need directions I just ask Mercedes to take me to a good Italian restaurant , or tell it the address and it downloads directions, I can ask the car to make a phone call, give me a massage, change the lighting - you get the idea - I have owned Porches and Lexus and not until now have I experienced true luxury in an automobile. The Con for this car has been caused by the chip shortage - I ask for a rear window sun shade option - not available , Dash Cam and Air balance options not available , a couple of standard feature were lost as well like hands free trunk opening and Navigation's Augmented Reality - even with these loses - this car is a 5 star purchase - Please check with your dealer - lost options are a variable depending on when you order your car - probably the later the better - I ordered my car in August 2021 - the height of the chip shortage problem After one year - the only thing I can add to the above is that to my surprise I am using the massage feature about 50% of the time when I am out and about - very relaxing and I just say " Hey Mercedes" how about a massage - can't get easier than that.

This car is special and driving one is a treat. You can't help but to smile every time you look at it. Is it overpriced? Yeah probably, but what isn't these days. You pay for what you get.

So we were vacationing our our mountain home in the mountains of North Carolina and the Edmunds review site got us interested in what I consider Mercedes' most beautiful, the " four door coupe" CLS. I had bought an E class 450 wagon to haul the dogs in 2019 and had almost bought from a dealership in Ft. Mitchell, KY. They were very active on internet. This time we found a '22 " certified" used CLS that was loaded with all the goodies. Long story short, we negotiated a great price, including a trade, and they delivered the vehicle to our door in Linville, N.C. and picked up the Caddie trade-in. We loooove it! Jeremy at dealership has been great. They've provided a couple hours of person-to-person tutorials with us to answer all questions about the technical wizardry of this car. Thanks Edmunds of excellent review.

Too many electrical issues

I acquired a 2022 CLS 450 in 2022, and unfortunately, I've encountered electrical issues. Within the first year, I had to replace the V48 battery, and in the initial month of ownership, the vehicle's box needed changing. Despite attempting a buyback with Mercedes, they insisted on persistent issues to qualify. My prior experience with a 2019 model was trouble-free, and I find the new technology in the 2023 version problematic. Technicians have been unable to pinpoint the issue so far.
