Amazing little car
What a car! I have owned this car for a little over two years and have been nothing but satisfied with this little rocket. This car loves to drive on the highway. Acceleration from a dead stop is not so great but once on the move it turns into a rocket. The rotary engine is an amazing piece of technology. This car only displaces 1.3L but makes rediculous power. The lightweight almost perfectly balanced RWD coupe gets decent gas mileage for a sports car averaging about 20-21 mpg with 65% highway and 35% city driving. Parts can be pricey but if the car is maintained properly not many problems arise. If any engine work is needed for any reason dont bring to local mech. find a rotory mech.
A really great car.
This car is simply wonderful to drive. The high RPMs make it a great racer and it beats the crap outta little civics. The body style is an older modle but there are body kits to handle the older look... but I am going off stock alone here... so I guess it's alright. The sunroof and many other featured are great. There are a number of interior electrical probs though. *Warning* Mechanics are not very fond of repairing rotarys... and in some cases won't do it. There is an elbow piece on the engine connecting to the top radiator tube, this elbow is made of plastic and can crack from all the pressure (had it happen).

Great car to drive, very comfortable, quick and great around the corners. Fuel economy is decent on the highway for a sports car. The 1991s are hard to find, but will treat you right if you take care of them.
A classic race car from the start!
I've always admired Rx-7's! These cars are fashioned after good old high revving race car engines. The car is a blast to drive. The car seems to want to go faster even after reaching the 6 - 7 thousand rpm range. Acceleration is a very quick on this car, especially when you have the rpm's up.I just wished the car came with a larger tank....:)The fact that it's a rotary engine shouldn't scare you, there are many Japanese auto shops that would love to work on a car like this, at least from my experience.
