Used 2009 Lexus LS 460 Consumer Reviews
My Lexus LS 460L
This is my 6th Lexus and like all the others it is performing well and is totally reliable. Although a big car the fuel economy is very good. On my regular highway journeys I get 28-29 mpg. Average mixed around town and highway this only drops to about 24mpg. The park assist steering is too complicated to set up and responds too slowly for it to be useful, but it is a fun feature. This is truly a luxury car which is quiet and a pleasure to ride in. The extra rear legroom is always appreciated when I carry passengers.
Superb car
This is an amazing car. I test drove all the Germans and others and this is by far the best. I think this is one of the best cars ever made to date. You will wizz by cars you think must be going 20 mph while in reality they are going 70 mph - all while sipping your coffee in a luxurious setting while listening to amazing music. It has turned my daily commute into a delightful experience that I look forward to daily. I feel fortunate everyday to own this car and plan on enjoying it for a long time. I got the chrome wheels and it adds a nice look to the black car exterior. The car looks very stylish, not dull at all.

Quiet, supple, luxury...
The impeccable fit and finish is immediately apparent when first driving the LS460. The quiet, smooth, butter-like shifting is addicting. Acceleration is wonderful. Add to that the second to absolutely no one reliability and you have "The" winner in flagship sedans. BMW's are not even close. They may be able to turn on a dime, but I'd rather bask in quiet luxury than fly around an on ramp. I'm not 18 anymore. Besides, I get to actually drive mine 365 days of the year rather than drive a loaner for being in the shop 5 times per year (BMW again). The Jaguar XJL is the only other vehicle that I've enjoyed as much, but again, reliability matters to me,so the LS460 is my pick.

not perfect but i love it anyway
Bought my 2008 used with 101200 miles on it in February 0f 2016. Had prepurchase inspection done at a lexus dealership. On the way home both head lights went out. Shortly there after i noticed that whenever i was stopped the car would idle very roughly. Took the car to the lexus dearership where they kept it for four days and could not solve the problem. I have tan interior and allthough it's beautiful to look at it is hard to keep clean my drivers side door shows a lot of wear. Believe it or not I still i love my LS, the excelleration is awesome the gas mileage is awesome and i look forward to years of reliabilty. No car is perfect but this one is REAL close. Will up date has the years pass. It's now December of 2017 and I have 143,600 miles on my LS, have not had any problems at all (knock on wood). Just had a transmission flush and an oil change. The car runs great, as good as most new cars the gas mileage is great for such a big car as well. I am VERY happy with this vehicle and would buy another Lexus in a heart beat. It's now December of 2018 and i have 160000 miles on the vehicle. I have had some suspension work done and a water pump but thats it car is running great. Update sold the ls in may of 2019 with 166,000 miles after taking 2,500 mile trip. The ls was just fantastic on the trip, outstanding gas mileage for such a big car. I bought a bmw only because I think the face on the newer Lexus's is so ugly. I will happily go back lexus when and if they look better. I will probably miss the reliability, but I love the way my bimmer looks. I NO LONGER OWN THIS VEHICLE!

Love My 2008 LS460
I leased a new 2008 Lexus LS460 in mid- December. I thoroughly enjoy driving this car. I owned a 2001 LS430 prior to the LS460, and I could not imagine a better made, more luxurious car in the price range. However, I believe that the LS460 handles better and has a sleeker design than the LS430. I especially love all the new amenities, such as the backup camera and 8-speed transmission sport settings.
