Update 7/11/22
My car now has 32k mi on it and love it even more so since I first got it almost 3 years ago. So fun to drive and the compliments I get on it daily are numerous. It’s a beautiful car!
Great car! Fun to drive base model and doesn’t look all that different from the GT line!

2019 Kia Stinger 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
I love this car so much. I constantly recommended the kia stinger to people and when it came time to get a new car I put my money where my mouth is, haven't regretted it.
First month with the car consisted of 3 separate 6+ hour drives in a single day. The first drive I was amazed by how my back didn't ache nearly as bad as it usually did by hour 5. The leather seats are great and proved … great support for extended drives and hold you in the twisties.
I was able to fit my girlfriends mountain bike in the trunk with the seats folded down (please lay a towel down on your seat belt buckles when folding the seats down, they tend to imprint into the leather). Storage capacity is great, I truly believe that this body style could save sedans because this is just so practical.
I would love to tell myself I need 365hp but the truth is I'm in the city most of the time and this 2.0t gdi engine is honestly wonderful for city and highway driving. Hopefully the aftermarket for this engine will expand due to this engine being interchangeable with parts from the Mitsubishi Evo X's motor. Tunes already exist and the aftermarket is healthy. The is my main criticism of the car and 95% of people probably will not care but the base model stinger lacks the Limited Slip Differential from the GT1. I'm not looking to be a DK but the traction management gained by an LSD is something I wish I could gift this car through the dealership. The car also comes with not so great tires but that could be fun if you're into a little rotation. The stinger is a great platform though, solid chassis, rwd, and the transmission is pretty solid. Put some good tires on it and you're gonna be pleased.
My stinger is honestly wonderful and I've driven it about 7,500 miles since owning it and loved every one. No catastrophic issues or minor ones either other that my trunk shelf came with one broken peg. I bought the car used though so I tinted the windows and but the shelf in the closet. I highly recommend.

Which Stinger does Edmunds recommend?
For the full Stinger experience, we recommend the GT. It has the potent twin-turbocharged V6 engine but keeps the price reasonable. Even more driver aids have been made standard this year, so you won't miss out on important safety features if you can't swing the price on a fully loaded Stinger.

Driving
8.5The Stinger GT has performance chops to back up its striking looks. Acceleration is strong at any speed, and the engine is well-behaved when you aren't hammering the pedal. Handling and steering are great at this price point.
Comfort
8.0The front seats keep you in place and have many adjustments. The ride is amicable, even in Sport mode, and exterior noise is filtered out. Heated front seats are standard, but heated rear seats aren't available.
Interior
7.0The driver benefits from an excellent seating position and an ergonomically friendly control layout. Unfortunately for rear passengers, the Stinger has a low roof and limited toe room. Rear visibility is not as good as in other midsize sedans.
Utility
8.5There's more space in the Stinger's cargo area than any like-minded sedans, though it's smaller in size than the Buick Regal Sportback and the BMW 3 Series GT. The rear seats don't quite drop flat, but the high pivot point means you won't have to move the front seats forward to fold them.
Technology
8.5The Stinger is brimming with tech, starting with a sharp-looking touchscreen and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. A suite of the latest driving aids is available, and it doesn't cost too much on trims where it isn't standard.
