no complaints
I bought it last year, I've had to replace a few things but that's to be expected in a used car. I don't think a have owned had a better car. It does everything I have asked of it. Last year I had to help my father out with a half fallen tree. We thru a 1 1/2 in rope in the top, and with a little pull the rest came down. Now were not talking about a small tree when it was hit by lighting it stud over 6 stories high. And the part we pulled down made up most of it.
Wife displeased
Bought new in 1996, was initially pleased. Had to have radio replaced under warranty but was fairly problem free until the rear end needed replacing. Mechanic said that gearing was misaligned from the factory and it was only a matter of time until it went out. Had other small intermittent problems. Then the computer unit went out. It took Jeep dealer about 3 months to find the problem. We would take it in and they would give it back saying they could not find any problem. It would have same problem and we would take it in only to start the cycle again. Wife who drives vehicle says we will never buy another Jeep. Plan on replacing it soon with import.

cheap jeep
No a/c vents for rear passengers. No cup holders for rear passengers. No hand holder for passengers (roof grips) Rear end noise is so loud you can not hear the radio. Several mechanics have tried and can not lower the noise. Why do american car builders keep putting the fuse panels in such a difficult location........ Jeep leans to much in 30-45 mph turns.
Warrantee Magic
All you have to do is spend $2,000 on the extended warrantee like I did. They must have flipped the reliability switch on mine when I paid for it, because in 88,000 miles I've had almost no problems other than 3 (count 'em 3) fuel gauges. I love the car, but talk about depreciation! Never again.
The Grand Cherokee
I have had no complaints. So far it is i feel secure when driving.
