Used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L SUV Consumer Reviews
Run far far away from this vehicle update 3/12/25
3/12/2025 Update: run even further from this absolute piece of garbage. The designers and engineers need to be fired and hire new fresh faces that can rejuvenate this half dead company. Certain problems have returned such as malfunctioning heated seats. The vehicle lurches forward when engine is cold in about 50 degree weather. So that’s fun. The computer had to be completely replaced. Numerous recalls. One of the which they can’t even fix yet. This is absolutely insane. This vehicle should have never been allowed to exist. Never will I ever spend money on a Chrysler/Fiat brand ever again. They follow the tradition of “it’s good enough” mentality from the 1980’s. I think the same people from the 1980’s are still making all the decisions which is wrecked this company. I will be purchasing Japanese vehicles moving forward. Which is a shame I took pride in owning an American vehicle but the quality and reliability doesn’t exist. It’s 2025. Time to make a reliable car. Leased from brand new. Nothing but problems from the very beginning. Steering alerts. Passenger seat wouldn’t heat up. Stealerhsips resposne was “it’s a jeep” Electronic systems failed. Stealership said they resolved it. They didn’t. So back in the shop again for I think the 5th or 6th time. The idea of owning a vehicle is to be able to use said vehicle. Not sit in waiting rooms and be denied loaner vehicles. The absolute second I can get out of this nightmare I will never consider an American made vehicle ever again. Absolutely disgusting.

Drives great as long as everything works
The car is actually pretty cool: feels like a Range Rover with high end stitching and nice features including air suspension. The radio went out in mine after they sent a software update over the air and the dealers are almost worthless when it comes to fixing it, corporate is worse, jeep customer service is very rude and it's nearly impossible to get it fixed. I have the summit reserve with the 5.7 and it feels good except it does rattle in 7th gear in the steering wheel. I'd recommend buying a different make for those reasons. Perhaps from a brand that gives a little more care to customers who buy $70k+ cars.

Make better bigger
I love my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L but I wish that they would have made the titles of each dash board button or switch bigger and brighter so as they would be easier to see. Like maybe make them magnified or in a more above the dash location. Sometimes I catch myself driving down the road and looking for the right button below the computer screen and almost going off the road because they are hard to see as the title is in very very small print. My L has had 7 factory recalls but all were minor issues and easy fixes and some did not need to be fixed on my vehicle. Overall I love my JEEP as it is my 4th one and I buy them because JEEP has a great reputation..
