Steer clear!

I bought my Grand Cherokee L new in September 2021 and have had significant issues with my battery and warning lights. I’m continually having to jump it off. I get warning lights on the regular about the brakes, the auto off/on, the lights, etc. This week, I’ve had to jump it 4 times, at minimum. Sunday night my wipers came on and although the switch was OFF and wouldn’t turn off. I’ve tried to get service for it multiple times and can’t get an appointment because they are all “booked out weeks or months in advance”. Frankly, I fully regret buying this thing and wish I had kept my Toyota Highlander.

There has been about (5)RECALLS on this vehicle and (1) the tail lamps they don't have a fix for it. Literally about 20 issues with electronics and engine transmission stuff. I've been driving rental cars for the past year. The vehicle looks beautiful that's it. Drives nice when it works but it's rare and inconsistent. I'm doing a LEMON LAW buyback it's that bad so this will be over with soon thankfully. It's unsafe to drive my children in this. So many lemon's on this car I could make lemonade. This car is seriously unsafe, I have a Jeep L overland with all the technology and all the problems. Knocking sounds from under vehicle, motor mounts replaced. Everything from air suspension issues, service 4wd, service stability control traction control alerts. Blind spot monitor issues. Mostly every electronic that could malfunction has and still is. The more the dealership tries to tinker with something the more issues it has. Vehicle didn't start off with all this, it progressed over month after month another issue on top of another. They say the same thing can't duplicate the issues. Yeah but I have proof video footage. This vehicle is unsafe

Love my Jeep. I have owned several different vehicles in the past and this is my favorite.

Nice SUV in many ways except for the excessive noise coming from the tires, windows, sun roof. The dealer is hard of hearing, so sad.

We are a Jeep family, well at least we were. I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler, no bells and whistles, love it! Had a 2007 Jeep Commander, loved it, 15 years and 164000 miles on it, next to no issues. Well, we bought a 2021 Jeep Cherokee L to replace the Commander, nothing but issues. 14000 miles and 14 months later I have had it to the dealership a half dozen times. Had the front emergency brake thing happen twice, once almost causing me to be rear ended, scary. Radio/screen issues, screen would freeze, go black and become inoperable, great, especially when on a trip and using the maps for directions. Screen still flickers even after dealership "updated" the computer. Had a "Service 4WD" warning light come on the dash, took it in and they had to replace the Transfer case. Now, clunking sound in front end, 4WD doesn't work when needed and my wife and daughter were stranded in a dark parking lot after she couldn't engage the car into drive. I had to leave work to attempt to get it into drive so they could get home. Car taken to dealership, again, and no codes found and they were unable to replicate these issues. Laundry list of issues and "nothing" can be done. What a joke, I have wasted so much time and money on fuel driving back and forth to the dealership only to get no results. I get it's not necessarily the dealerships fault, Amazing people there trying to resolve my issues, but how the car was built and is functioning is not their fault. Actually sitting in the dealership as I type this waiting to start a case file with Jeep. Called customer service once, with the dealership manager, and without any warning the rep we were speaking to transferred us to a survey. What?!? So glad that happened to the branch manager. Then talked to second rep and she states their "system" was down and that I needed to call back in an hour, BUT, the car needed to be at the dealership in order to start the claim. Sitting here exhausted from working a 24 hour shift as a first responder so I can hope Jeep's system is up when I call back. What ever happened to customer service??? We don't feel safe in the vehicle, and when I leave with the car we will just be waiting for the "next" issue to arise, praying it doesn't cause harm to me or my family. Not feeling safe in this car.
