I love Jeep!

First of all this is my first brand new vehicle, and my first SUV. I shopped around ALOT, and I found that I kept coming back to the Jeep Cherokee Limited. I bought mine with just about every upgrade you could get. The inside is very nice. I love how comfortable the seats are, they will be great for long term driving, even the back seats are just as good. The exterior is equally as nice. I think chrome wheels would have looked better but these look good, and are probably more durable too. The Panoramic Sunroof is perfect I get plenty of light, and when its open I feel like I'm in a convertible. The only bad thing I have to say is I wished I would have got the V6. There just isn't a lot of power to it. With that said I test drove the V6 too and there was not a big difference in power or take off. But my previous vehicle was a Pontiac with V6 which are know to have lots of power, so I guess I just have to get use to it. The only Vehicle I found that compared as well was the FORD Edge but it cost more too, other than that I LOVE my new JEEP.

Jeep Cherokee Up Hill or Down Hill?

2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 9A)

I have had my Jeep Cherokee Latitude for 5 months. In that time, I have put 1,600 miles on it (don't drive great distances). The color is beautiful--"Brilliant Black Chrystal Pearl coat." I opted for the 4-cylinder (184 horsepower) with the 9-speed transmission. The engine is a little buzzy, and get relatively poor gas mileage. Combined city (mostly) and highway has been under 19 MPG. Interior is great. Very comfortable seats. The 8.4 Uconnect screen is excellent. The ride is smooth. The car is rattle-free. I went for the customer preferred package, which includes 18 inch gloss-back wheels, all black fascia, grille, roof rails, and exterior badging. It also has the cold weather group, which includes remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel, windshield wiper deicer, heated mirrors, power 8-way driver seat with 4 way lumbar support. I also purchased an extended warranty. I have no complaints, except I should have purchased the 6-cylinder and CD player. So, there are highs ad lows. As you can see more highs. If you decide on this car, you should be quite pleased, but get the 6-cylinder.

2016 Jeep Cherokee problems

Chantal R, 10/28/2020
2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 9A)

I bought a 2016 Jeep cherokee Trailhawk. The interior is awesome and it is a very durable and sporty looking SUV so it checked all my boxes. I bought it used with 45,000 km on it. I had it for 5 months with absolutely no problems. Then one day I was at work and went to leave and it wouldn't start. I tried boosting it and nothing worked so had it towed to the mechanic. The PCM had broken and needed to be replaced because this is a very important computer part. A month later my car wouldn't start again and the battery was dead. I had to once again get it towed. After 12 hours of the mechanic trying to find the problem at 130$ an hour they found out the rear module was shorting out the fuse box and sending shorts to my wires. This meant the car now at 55,000km needed an entirely new rear end including rear axles due to the rear dif. When I was there, there were 2 other jeep Cherokee in with electrical problems as well. THIS VEHICLE IS VERY UNRELIABLE. it is an electrical nightmare that would have cost me over 5000 dollars if I wasn't still under warranty. I will be trading mine in right away.

Special Dealer Edition

2016 Jeep Cherokee Overland 4dr SUV 4WD (3.2L 6cyl 9A)

The only complaint I have is that the headlights do not appear as bright as my other SUV vehicle (Mitsubishi Outlander XLS 2007) I plan to have some high intensity LED driving lights installed. Overall I love this vehicle. The V6 is fun and has plenty of tow power, in sport mode it gets up and goes! This was a special edition ordered by the dealership and it had not even been offloaded off the transport and I said I wanted it after test driving a similar model. This one had 12 miles on it. It has the blacked out package, winter package, V6, and 18 inch wheels which were not offered through the manufacture website in the combination I bought. Side note: its not the Overland V6 but the Sport with dealer options, V6 etc. UPDATE: Still loving this vehicle. The interior is perfect for me and my spouse wants to try it more than her 2016 car. I put Blizzacks on for the winter and it was no stopping it. Been through 30 below in montana and no issues. No problems to report.

2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 75th Anniversary v6

James Gardner, 03/24/2016

I set up test drives for both the Jeep and a Mazda CX-5 for the same day. My fiance and I drove the Mazda and we both really liked it. We went into it with a Mazda bias, and were only testing the Jeep to say we compared the Mazda to something. We finished the test drive and absolutely fell in love with this car. I'm 6'6" and am coming from a 2003 Kia Spectra, so this Jeep is a huge step up for me. The particular Cherokee we got is a 4x4 Limited 75th Anniversary Edition with the optional V6 engine and a moonroof. I wasn't sure the V6 was necessary, but I'm so glad I got it, because it is an absolute blast to drive. The fuel economy isn't the greatest thing in the world, but we went in knowing that. I'm also new to the area, so when we have a little extra money, we're going to spring for the Navigation system. I have only owned this Jeep for about a month now, but I don't have a bad thing to say other than the gas mileage isn't that great. But considering that's because I'm accelerating around people with a V6 all the time, I can't complain too much. Love this car!!!
