Bad and slow transmission, bad electronics

Transmission failed few times during warranty. Auto start stop failed as well. Key often gets stuck when trying to take it out. Had to glue seals around doors within one month of the ownership. Some trims on the back door needed gluing too. Transmission is so slow to shift that I don't feel this is a 3.2L engine as it's no fun at all... After 3 years transmission started being very rought and sometimes doesn't want to go past 2nd/3rd speed. No error codes, nothing that the dealership could identify or fix. Had to sell as I couldn't risk leaving the city with such car.

I love this Jeep but it has had problems. Within the first year, the entire air compressor unit went out had to replace it. Also, a cylinder stopped working and needed new spark plugs and maintenance on malfunctions. It is too bad it is falling apart mechanically within a year. Note that if you get the 4 cylinder the acceleration is terrible.

2016 Defective brakes off the lot. Replaced all major components. Dealer was unable to get it right. Took them 12 days. Brakes on these cars are unresponsive and too firm, making it difficult to react quickly in an emergency situation. I don't get why they are designed like this. saftey tech blind spot, rear assist are great. Acceleration is very good, appearance and interior build style/quality very good. Navigation is quite basic for $600! Post-purchase all I hear about are reliability issues. So maybe I should've researched this car a lot more before buying. I doubt I'll let this car ever get out of warranty.

I bought my 2016 jeep just 6 weeks ago and loved it. It has 16,000 miles on it and suddenly started chugging and feeling like it was going to die the check engine light came on I sent it to the dealer and received it back with the engine code cleared and when i started it the problem still existed and and smelled like something was burning. and when it rains it smells musty in the vehicle. so needless to say after making 1 payment it is in the shop for the second time already.

This review is for the Cherokee Trailhawk. What a great car and value! Drives amazingly well both on and off-road, classy and comfortable interior, and lots of storage space. Would recommend this car to anyone who wants a car that's both fun and practical to drive anywhere!
