For $32k this car has everything you could ever want! Exceptional styling right down to the 19" rims. Interior amenities are plentiful topped off with the panoramic sunroof. Supple ride and comfortable seating. Sport mode gives zippy performance. Ultra wide rear doors for easy access to rear seats. The LED headlights integrated to the grill is a uniquely cool look. Overall, a great car for any amount but reasonably priced.

Don’t Pay More For The Hybrid!

I purchased the 2022 Tucson Hybrid (limited) on April 30, 2021. I first noticed the Highway mpg was around 27-31mpg, which was slightly worse than what my 2013 Tucson could get. I then started noticing the car felt like the gears were getting stuck all winter, and the electric motor did not turn on at all in cold weather. Where the trouble really started was around 8,000-10,000miles when city mpg went down to 25-27mpg. I started getting around 27mpg on the interstate. On my next oil change, I asked about mpg not being close to the 36-38mpg sticker. They tried to insinuate I was “going to the wrong gas stations. Hybrids don’t get better gas mileage, and 27mpg is great for the car!” After much debate and them looking at the sticker on the same make, they resynced the computer. It started getting 34-45mpg on my city work drive again. The next tank of gas was interstate, where it got 27mpg with no cruise control/no steering assist/eco mode. The next interstate tank averaged 22-25.5mpg. It’s not getting 300 mile range on a tank. My other issue with this Tucson is it is completely unsafe to drive outside of city lighting at night. The headlights are positioned to where it creates a dark band in the driver’s view to where you cannot see across the Highway at night. It is completely unsafe; I thought maybe it was my height or seat position. However, I have seen multiple reviews with all the same complaints as me, so now I know I’m not alone.

Entire hybrid system failed. Less than 500 miles

I am not sure what the issue is but our brand new 2022 Tucson hybrid won’t drive and the entire hybrid system failed. It’s in the shop and they are working with Hyundai to figure it out. Not cool with a brand new car. I’d avoid it! We love our other Hyundai’s, we’ve had a Santa Fe and 2 other Tucson’s. This one seems like a lemon already!

Well, I have only 340 miles on my 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue, drove it for 4 days and now it is in the shop. The car does not accelerate. I am told the accelerate sensor is bad. When you are at a stop the car barley moves until you reach about 25 MPH which takes about 10 seconds. Now the dealership has had if for 6 days and told me they don't have an availability for the part, it could 2 weeks or 2 months, they state they don't know when or if the part is available because the car is so new and part shortage ........ blah blah blah. Maybe take the part from a vehicle in stock and have the dealership wait for the part before they can sell the vehicle. I reached out to Hyundai directly and was told someone would contact me within 10 days. Only checked one star because I had too to submit the review. I am very disappointed with Hyundai

First of all, to address no spare- they had to do what they could to reduce the weight of the vehicle, and their focus group data revealed that less than 1% of 1% have ever used their spare. YES, its nice to have, but so are GREAT Mpg #'s! Second, i don't know too many ppl who WANT the passengers dinking around with the radio, no knob helps to keep their "paws off" For my OWN paws, there's a up/down & MUTE button right on my steering wheel : ) Only fault i couldfind is the incandesent bulbs & extremely low placement of turn signals/reverse lights....(its almost as if they 99 & 99% done and got to that point and said, "lets call it a day" and never came back to finish the design...lol This SUV does so many thing GREAT, and EVERYTHING else REALLY well! i even loved how the big H in rear window was super easy for my "tint guy" to slap on a piece of limo window tint, you no longer see the H...look so good without that badging : ) Between the 3/36 FREE maintenance, 3/36 Blue Link FREE subscription, 5/60 bumper to bumper/10 year powertrain AND 10 year on electric battery couple with the gazillion features (even some of which you can't get with ANY other vehicle- Blind Spot Camera View in Dash- looking at u Rav 4 : ) you CAN NOT go wrong with this version of the Tucson!!!!!
