Used 2006 Hyundai Tucson SUV Consumer Reviews
Far superior value to Toyota or Honda
After extensive research & lots of hoofing it on foot in car lots, & many test drives the Tucson rose to the top like cream. The Honda CR-V is ugly & uncomfortable, the RAV-4 was *way* overpriced & lacked features we wanted & the Toyota dealers were arrogant beyond belief. As soon as we drove the Tucson, it was obvious. Super quality build, all the features one could ever need (Even in the bottom of the line GL trim we purchased), & most importantly, safety features beyond compare. Throw in the warranty & it is a no brainier. I find it hard to believe anyone would buy an RAV-4, which is overpriced to start then the dealer wants list price. Yeah right, I'll take my Hyundai thank you.
2006 Tuscon
We bought a five speed Tuscon for it's price and fuel economy. We love it. It is so much fun to drive and gets so much better fuel economy than the last three automatic transmission Ford Escapes I have had. I love the side view mirror defrost feature and the cargo area liner; it's great to just lift up and dirt falls off versus having to vac carpet every time you purchase plants for your garden and bring them home. It's so easy to keep clean and has lots of wonderful little features that you wouldn't expect for the price!

Could be better
I am pleased with the overall value of my Tucson ,but the mileage it is getting is a big disappointment. But besides that, I am very happy with my decision to buy the Tucson.
Took a chance on a Tuscon
I bought the Tuscon over a Honda CRV because it was almost $3000 less and it provided a smoother ride and was conquerly equipped. The seats collapse all the way down whereas in the Honda they remained bend up slightly when folded down. My only disappointment is the fuel consumption, rounding out at 24mpg and the low HP at 173. These are two big sacrifices to make in buying the six cylinder. Otherwise the vehicle is quite nice.
It is a nice fit
The Tucson is a nice fit for a small family. Has plenty of leg room, head room and storage for everyone. Performance wise I find that it has been somewhat difficult to start and stay running. It just doesn't want to start some days and acts like its flooded. This is the only problem Ive had. Otherwise it has been great.
