2026 Genesis GV80 Coupe

The 2026 Genesis GV80 Coupe is a fastback derivative of the regular GV80 that trades the midsize luxury SUV's available third-row seat and some cargo room for a stylishly raked roofline. Positioned as a premium model, it is only available in the SUV's highest trim level, meaning the list of standard equipment is extensive. That includes the turbocharged V6 engine, which is optional on the regular GV80. There's also an optional version of this engine, exclusively offered by Genesis for the GV80 Coupe, that's supercharged to deliver even more power.

As a fashionable derivative of a traditional luxury SUV, the GV80 Coupe follows directly in the footsteps of the BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and Audi Q8. For once, the Genesis is actually more expensive than its German competitors, although it does include nearly every conceivable feature as standard equipment. Similarly equipped, the Germans cost as much or more. However, they also offer more powerful and efficient engine choices than the Genesis does.

The GV80 Coupe compromises less than you might think in pursuit of its high-style proportions. The standard GV80's available third-row seat is rather cramped, so that's no great loss. Front-seat dimensions are identical in the GV80 and the GV80 Coupe, as is second-row legroom. There's a bit less headroom in the back seat of the GV80 Coupe than the standard GV80, but cargo space is where you'll see the biggest difference. The Coupe has 29.3 cubic feet behind its rear seats compared to the regular GV80's max of 38.7 cubes. With the seats folded, the Coupe's volume expands to 61.1 cubic feet, while the standard GV80's hold measures 71.7 cubes.
