Just purchased our 2018 Honda Pilot EX-L. After only 519 miles, I have fallen head over heels for our new car. Fuel economy is at least equal or better than our 2013 aFord Escape Titanium. In terms of cargo, comfort and performance, the Pilot is a dream. Can't wait to take it on a long road trip.

I have owned a 2003 Pilot and a 2008 Toyota Highlander....the Pilot is better in several ways!

We have hit 117,000 miles and the car is running great. 100k had some expensive maintenance with the timing belt and brakes. The torque converter also was replaced under Honda’s warranty. Still hoping to keep the car for another year. Looks and runs great though.

Its exactly what she wanted, especially since she's wanted to upgrade from the 2009 vehicle she's had for the past 9 years.

First I’ll start by saying I have owned cars from Toyota Ford Kia Nissan I just traded from a 2020 Honda CRV new to a used 2018 Honda Pilot due to the fact I needed tow capability to pull a boat. As soon as I traded we had a beach trip scheduled that was 4 hours from where we lived. The Honda Pilot did excellent. My husband loves it a lot better then the CRV even though I truly loved my CRV. Now my Honda CRV had the sensing that stopped and started like you here some of the reviews discuss. This Pilot doesn’t have it. My husband and I have decided we like the fact it doesn’t have that better. The Pilot way roomier more power and it’s like the beat of both worlds with mini van room inside and suv and tow AWD outside. This vehicle now has 39k miles and runs great so far. I have driven highlanders, explorers. This inside was the roomier option. Now cost guess what guys they are all expensive. Cost on Pilot versus Explorer versus highlander versus whatever these midsized vehicles new are 40k to 50k and used lower miles 30k to 40 k in my opinion they are all way overpriced. The one thing about Honda is it will hold value.

2018 Honda Pilot EX-L (Boooo!)

I have had many Honda vehicles, including an Accord, Civic, CRV, and now a Pilot. At 30,000 miles the transmission light came on. I was initially told by the local dealer that there was metal shaving debris in the pan, which is the criteria for a new transmission. I was initially told by the local Palm Harbor dealer that a new transmission was approved by the Honda warranty people. Then, they subsequently refused to replace it and would only put in a new torque converter. By my assessment this is a band-aid and not a fix. I have since learned that there are known and published problems with the Honda transmissions. I will be pursuing the appropriate remedy and and through with Honda.

Loved my previous 2006 pilot! Upgraded this year. The sunroof on the interior rattles. Brought it in once and they said it was fixed. It's not. They are willing to take another look at it. Also the 3rd row didn't come with a floor mat. Weird, I think they forgot to put it in. I feel like I got a used car even though it was brand new. Hate the black carpet. It is lousy material and cheap. My 2006 had better plush carpet and it was gray, so much nicer. The carpet in the backseat is already wearing and I've only had it 4 months. Hopefully Honda will look at the interior and see they shouldn't go cheap!

This is our first Honda (EX-L) and it replaced our 2008 Hyundai Veracruz Limited. We compared it with the Toyota Highlander, and the additional space, comfort, and refinement of the Honda convinced us to get the pilot. Nearly 2 years in and 30,000 miles, the car has been fantastic. I am hoping that it remains the case for 8+ more years as the Hyundai set the bar pretty high.
