Very dependable vehicle. Runs and shifts very well for the mileage on it.

PERFECT in EVERY WAY, except for one thing ...

2012 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV w/Rear Entertainment (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

EX-L w/RearEnt is the WINNER among the compeition for nightmare big city travel & traffic. Comfort and 5-star SERVICE, even in a small college town of Wal-Mart type choppers that don not support quality biz nor products. The ONLY major item that can't be fixed is ... strong acceleration going into a 90d turn = you will have to FIGHT Pilot from going even farther into the turn = a wreck ... does not easily go back to straight like all cars I've driven since the 60's The ONLY minor problem are the stock tires for traveling. These will not keep you on the road in wet, under-construction or heavily syped roadway ridges (for rain). These must be replaced with Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 - SIZE: 235/60ZR18 = stronger wide wall support/control + top rated on WET streets

First Pilot,used to have Nissan

Well we just bought a 2012 pilot. We traded in a 2010 Nissan Rogue(58,000miles).We wanted a little bigger car(2 grand kids)but the Pathfinder needs premium fuel.We decided to try a honda. We know going in the fuel milage will be not so good.Hoping for the honda reliability(the sun roof will not close properly)on the first day.And it started raining.Got it to close. The blue tooth paired with wifes phone effortlessly.WE will be putting more than 30,000miles on it the first year,so I will keep posting updates on how we like it and how it is doing.

Don't Believe Everything You Read

Given the title, you may not want to believe this review either, but all I can say is that I have no motivation to make this up. The biggest gripe about our now 1 month old 2012 pilot is the horrible ride due to this crazy ECO / VCM (Variable Cylinder Mgmnt) thing they have designed in it to save gas. You can research more on the internet yourself, but the shuddering that happens when cruzing is very annoying. Constant acceleration is smooth, but cruzing, is shudder city. Feels like driving 25mph in 6th speed. I can't believe Edmunds wrote "Pros: Impressive fuel economy; pleasant ride..." in their review. Are you kidding me? and I haven't seen more than 21mpg yet either .
