Great SUV

Original owner with 85k miles. Other than routine maintenance, which is inexpensive, we haven't had to spend a nickel on this vehicle. Previous SUV was an Explorer so the reliability was a nice change. Comfort is good although a telescoping steering wheel would be nice. Mileage is as advertised.

200,000 miles report: 98K and 138K had cam shaft each side replaced - and timing belt. Radio knobs barely work. Headliner ceiling sagging, drinks some oil and the power steering pump is going bad and the front chassis needs replacement soon. Those costs may mean selling. Accelerates nicely and the a/c is awesome. Plus, the roomy 3-row interior is great in this 2006 Honda Pilot.

This car went through so much and was very reliability it ended its life with a outstanding 310,000 miles and only one major repair at 180,00 miles the transition died. Our family put plenty of miles per year on the car, near the end of its life averaging almost 40,000 miles a year. The car ran really well as long as we maintained it properly. at around 270,000 miles the engine began to burn oil pretty bad but it lasted 40,000 miles more. overall great car for a kids first car or family car because it is very roomy!! would recommend 10/10!

Should be the "Standard" for SUVs

105,000 miles and I've had one repair - the radiator. Otherwise, just routine maintenance. Goes through anything once you replace the lousy OEM tires. No rattles after 5 years - nothing. Just incredibly solid. Have had 8 adults in it, with no complaints. Can haul stuff and people. Family of 5 to the beach? No problem. Big visit to Lowe's? No problem. Handle a Buffalo winter? No problem. Great highway vehicle. Superb comfort for long drives. You feel very safe in it. Traction control and Stability control work great. Great mileage for its size and hauling capability. 18 around town. 22 on the highway.

Bought Pilot over Highlander

We had leased a Highlander and opted to not purchase at lease end in favor of the Pilot. We could not be happier. Definitely a better ride due to the weight of vehicle. Can't complain about the gas mileage, very good for this mid size SUV. Vehicle now has around 50,000 (21,000 from us). Used the 4wd this winter and it performs extremely well. Engine is very quiet. Make sure the VTM fluid is changed regularly. Overall a very nice vehicle.
