Its a Trooper
We purchased a 2006 Pilot new it now has 195000 miles its been the most reliable vehicle we've ever owned we've had to replaced the catalytic converters and timing belt in addition to the normal parts that wear down in our opinion older Honda's are built to last but some of the new ones have bad technology this pilot is still truckin

Finally - The Perfect SUV!
My wife and I are both teachers and research nuts when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle. We have always had good fortune with Honda and a few of the Toyotas weve owned, but after six months with our Pilot, weve come to the conclusion that this is the first vehicle weve owned that has performed to perfection. Were averaging over 22 mpg, (city and some freeway), and the comfort on long trips is spectacular. We had a mishap driving into L.A. with an obstacle on the freeway at 75 mph we had to jerk the wheel and switch lanes then back again to avoid a crash. The VSA (vehicle stability assist) worked as advertised and saved our lives. Thank you, Honda, for surpassing our expectations.

Beater Car
Bought my pilot in 2017. 2006 pilot with 90k miles. Almost 3 years later sitting on 155000 miles. Vehicle has been outstanding with reliability considering it's been in 3 accidents prior to purchase. Only problem was a/c went out last year and radiator had a leak so had it replaced. Besides that vehicle has been great. Maybe should have bought a Toyota but is the next best candidate especially for the price I paid. No complaints. Actually only complaint is the dam catalytic converter. Won't be replacing but mine is shot. Will run this thing into the ground. No matter how long it takes. And I expect it to be a while.

Great SUV
Very nice car to own. Navigation system is very clear and easy to use and personalize with your own choice of colors, voice (male/female), etc. Rides great, powerful engine, and seems to be a very solid and well built vehicle. My only two gripes are fairly minor ones. 1) After parking and turning off the ignition, you can't open the door unless the door is unlocked first. I've never been in a car where you can't just open the door from the inside regardless of whether or not the door is locked or unlocked. Fairly annoying to always try to open the door, then realize it's locked, flip the lock open, then go back to open it again. 2) Stereo sound quality could be much better.
