Very satisfied!
We looked and drove all the major competitors- very happy that we chose the Odyssey.
Disapointed
Bought new 2017 in Dec. 2016. Had 2000 EX that from the outset had transmission problems so at only 135,000 miles I bought a new EX Odyssey. The Fabric on the seats is the worst looking and feeling and why would Honda put Beige in a Van ? , shows dirt along with Beige plastic rails at the doors and ? . The Engine has some type of system ECO which is very JERKY and can not be turned off . The gas mileage is around 16 not 19 like advertised ! I Got much better mileage on the 2000 EX ! The WORST, CONFUSING, Radio system to set too much information !!! And the DRIVER'S SEAT electric does not go back far enough, at the most BACK position anyone driving that is taller than 5'7" would HATE this VAN, Honda really screwed this car up. Will most likely get rid of it with in 2 yrs.. Took all the HEAD RESTs off so I can see out.
somewhat dated, but still a winner
I've owned Hondas and Acuras for 27 years. Currently own a 2007 Honda Ridgeline RTS with only 83K miles, and it's rock solid. Traded in a leased 2015 Subaru Outback to lease this Odyssey SE and give us more room for interstate travelling. After 10,400 miles the reviews are excellent. Just finished an 8,700 mile trip over 35 days from NC throughout Canada , Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, and the Odyssey performed very well. Even with a lot of mountain driving, stop and go sightseeing and 75 mph interstate driving, it averaged exactly 26 mpg, loaded down with significant luggage. I particularly like the front seat comfort, ride, handling and steering. It's certainly more comfortable, more responsive and less thirsty than my Ridgeline, and it drives like a late model Accord. I know the 2018 Odyssey was redesigned, but so far I'm fully satisfied with my 2017 model.

With a huge, flexible interior, exceptional comfort and a long list of features, the 2017 Honda Odyssey is a do-it-all machine.

This perennial popular American family hauler comes in six trim levels to choose from, so there's an Odyssey for every budget, especially when considering more recent used models.

Honda keeps its pricing strategy simple for the Odyssey. Each model increases the level of standard equipment at staggered pricing intervals, and there are only a couple of options. The LX, for example, kicks off the Odyssey's value proposition, bundling must-have features such as  Bluetooth phone/audio connectivity and a rearview camera with nice extras including touchscreen infotainment and power seats.

The EX marks the first step into the Odyssey's upper reaches with eight-passenger seating (the LX seats only seven), a removable front center console that improves passage from the front to rear of the cabin, and enhanced tech and safety features. The SE is a short step up from the EX and offers a rear-seat entertainment system and the nifty vacuum feature for a little more cost.

For the EX-L, the vacuum and rear seat entertainment inexplicably go away, but are replaced by other niceties like heated leather seats, a power liftgate and driver safety aids. Priced right about in the middle of the Odyssey lineup, the EX-L should hit the sweet spot for most buyers. You can add on a rear-seat entertainment system or a navigation system, but not both.

Moving up to the Touring model breaches what most might consider the entry-luxury price barrier but packs in almost everything else the Odyssey has to offer, including both the navigation and rear-seat entertainment system. With 18-inch wheels and foglights, it also looks a bit more stylish.

Finally, the Touring Elite throws it all in for a fully loaded rolling family sanctuary. The vacuum makes a return, the rear-seat entertainment is upgraded with a widescreen display and HDMI input, and the standard stereo becomes a surround system. For about the price of a nice European luxury sedan, it might be overkill for most buyers, but it's the one to get if you want to leave nothing on the table.
