The Perfect Fit for my Family
This car is great for my family. It is spacious for all 4 of us, and all of of our stuff too! After 5 long months of looking for the perfect fit for our family, Fischer Honda in Ypsilanti MI really took care of us. It was a nice change to deal with positive people who want to provide you with a great car. 100% Recommend.

HRV misnomer
If you think an HRV is the little sister of the CRV, think again. My last Honda was a CRV and it met expectations for an SUV, but it seemed so much like a clunker. My 2017 HRV EX isn't perfect either, but this class of vehicle much better suits my needs: nimble, handles well, carries TONS of gear (better cargo layouts for sure), quiet enough (less engine noise than my Outback had), and great fuel economy. The CONS are poor front seat storage, confusing touch screen layout, just acceptable highway acceleration. But after 3 years - I still get 37MPG hwy. I admit the interior materials aren't the greatest but I don't have kids or pets so its not an issue -for others it might be. Overall though I've found the typical Honda maintenance rqrmnts to be very economical.

You will love this car!!
Where to start - I have never liked the 'CRV' 's look - so i was in between the HRV and the Civic. The HRV has all wheel drive where the civic does not, and it's higher up which i like. I LOVE this car...everything i could want. Hopefully Honda puts in electric hatch and apple play but besides that: perfect!! Acceleration is not the greatest. This is the best car i have ever owned, and don't go for the lower grades....spend the extra money for comfy HEATED leather seats. YOu won't be sorry if you get this CROSSOVER / SUV.

Grinding noise with no fix
Buyer beware: I purchased a 2017 Honda HRV and in less than a year it started making a grinding noise under moderate acceleration at around 35 mph. After doing some research on Honda forums, YouTube etc, there are owners complaining of the same exact issue for at least 2 years! Dealership can't fix it since there is no recall from Honda. Honda is claiming that there is no fix yet, I have filed a complaint but they tell me there is NOTHING they can do for me. So why does Honda knowingly keep producing a defective product? This was my first Honda purchase and certainly my last. UPDATE 9/20/18: Honda corporate claimed there was going to be a fix by September...and STILL NOTHING! So frustrating to have a vehicle with a defect and to feel like you're just getting the run around. UPDATE 3/21/20: After going to 4 different dealerships last year to see if I could get any different answers ONLY 1 HONDA DEALERSHIP called me when a bulletin was released. And that dealership is not where I purchased the car! They told me customers would not be notified about the fix through the mail (which I never was) but since I had recently been there with the problem the bulletin included the fix to the problem - it was a computer related issue I was told that was causing the constant noise. They fixed it! Still disappointed that the other 3 dealerships never contacted me. Unfortunately, I've been hearing the sound a few times again when changing lanes (in 2020).
