Best of all worlds
My Honda Element is a cinversation starter everywhere I go. People seem confused at its whimsey appearance at first, but once I point out the various features they truly seem to appreciate the thaught and engineering in the vehicle. One of my friends recently bought a Hinda Civic. When she told me about the purchase, I told he I had a new Element. She replied, "Oh yah, that is the box Civics are delivered in" I love it. It is everything I need and want when i'M checking out yard sales and on the highway. Thank you. Connie Kittell
Whoo Hooo!
Yup! Pretty cool. This is what the underpowered plasticky PT Cruiser has been posing as all along. Horray for the HONDA transmisions.

great buy for the money
This car is most the best car yet. I bought it because I was having a baby and it looked to be a good car to load the baby seat and the stroller. I have found that I was right. I also recently bought a washer and a dryer adn I placed them BOTH standing upright into the honda element without a problem. This is not just a teen market that the element gears towards, it is geared towards a family adn all the car loads that goes with it....A MUST BUY!
My Little Toaster (because of shape)
The function of the seats has been a real value. I can use it as a pick up when I need to. My initial test drive (after purchase) was from New Mexico to Oklahoma and it was a fantastic drive. Total comfort for all four passengers and about 24 miles on the highway. Great little car.
Element
The Honda Element is a good reliable car to drive just about anywhere!
Element of choice
This was not our first choice...it grows on you! It has an odd appearance on the outside, but once you get in and see the space and configuration you will love it! The head room is incredible and my little boy falls asleep from the smooth ride in the back seat. We love the feel and the versatility. We travel with our dog and like to go hiking etc so it fits our lifestyle.
Element's damage in accident
My husband wanted it SO bad! I wanted the Ford Escape. Thank God he convinced me! In the icy snow, we totaled our 03 Element and it saved our lives! Unfortunately, the 20 mph impact into a mountainside and then into a tree did a lot of damage to the front end and rear suspension, but it's a tough little truck with a lot of safety features people don't know about! Other then minor bruises from the seatbelts, we WALKED away happy customers and on our way to Honda to buy a 2005!
Honda AS Radical AS YOU CAN GET!!!!
If you want to turn people's heads, this vehicle will definitely do that!! When my vehicle is on the street, I have many eyeballs that stare at my car.. It is unbelievable that the attention this car gets. Excellent ride.. Roomy... I love the orange color on some of the Elements... It's different.. But different is good!!! I can't tell you how much I love the space on the interior....
Great car looking for a few improvements
Very happy with our purchase. Fun to drive with ample power for most people. Averaging 21.5 MPG on mixed driving. We love the "ugly" factor.
SLIVER SPACE SHIP
My husband came home last night with the sliver space ship. He got rid of his Buick Rendevous. I pulled up and was loike this is so so cool. What a neat ride!
Awesome
I have owned the Element for a few months now and it is the best investment I have ever made. While I am a teenager, I find it a very good car and the looks even grow on you
So Much Fun & RELIABLE
The manual is so effortless and produces more power than you would think from the four banger. The interior is great even for a 6'3" driver-- and for even taller guys in the back. The car's build quality is impeccable-- you can really tell when you go over railroad tracks and you don't feel the rattles or such like other SUV's. Hats off to Honda.
I love my element
The element is very roomy. It has awesome handling and is good on gas mileage.
Complete Element
What can I say! It's everything you could ask for in an inexpensive SUV. If you have kids, this car is a must. Very practical and very UGLY but I love it. This is my first Honda ever and now it wont be my last. I only ask for one addition, an outside temp guage and compass. Regards, Barry Giardini (A very satisfied Element Owner at 43) P.S. I've owned this car for 6 months and have had zero problems
Pure pleasure.
Most fun vehicle I have owned thus far.
David in Atlanta
a great & fun car...gets attention every where I go. Wish it got a little more "pick-up" though, like my prvious SUV.
Life's too short not to have fun!
I am very happy to say that I am an Element owner...The minute I saw it at the Kansas City Auto Show I knew it was the car for my family...It's fun to drive and didn't set my bank account soaring downward...It rides tall and I feel very safe...I had been a minivan owner for about 15 yrs so now, I still have alot of room but a 4-wheel drive sports utility that's more fun for the money!
Unlike any other
I've looked at everything over the past year. Decided to take a look at this "Ugly Littly SUV" just to ease my curiosity. I couldn't believe the interior room. I'm 6', 250 lbs and felt right at home. I was concerned about the power of the 4cyl. Went back to the dealer the next day and drove one. Drives as good as my wife's Maxima. They had me in mind when they left out the carpet and used waterproof seats. There's nothing to mess up on this vehicle and it's so versitle. Had the dealer locate a 2wd EX in black and took delivery last week. Other than the ragging from my buddies, everyone seems to think it's pretty cool.
My Favorite Car
This has been my favorite car I think I have ever owned! It is without a doubt the most well thought out and functional car I have ever had. I love the mileage; I'm getting about 26 mpg on the highway with the 5 speed and it runs as fast as any other car around. I will definitely buy another one! I have put 13,000 miles on it in only 4 months thanks to the driving I do with my job.
LOVE IT BUT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
LOVE THIS VEHICLE FOR ITS ROOMY COMFORT. EASY ACCESS FROM SIDE DOORS AND REAR FOR TRANSPORTING. FANTASTIC AIR CONDITIONING. MY KIDS LOVE BEING IN A MINI HUMMER AND HAVE EVERYONE CURIOUS ABOUT THIER MOMS NEW TOY. I CALL IT MY LITTLE TYKES CAR.HAS MUCH ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENTS, LOOKING FOWARD TO TAKING A TRIP WITH THE FAMILY....
Bulldog Cute
The Brand New Honda Elemsnt was the last car of a four car list for looks. Among the competition were Vibes, Liberties, Xterras, and Ravs. None of these cars had the versitility or the ride of the Element. My salesman encouraged me that the looks would grow on me. I waited a month before buying an new Silver Element EX 4WD. What a payoff! The 4WD was impressive when I took it in the snow. The interior fit and finish were heavey duty and industrial. IF you are even remotely thinking about this car, go for it! The worst thing that will happen is that people will stare.
club house on wheels
The day after I got my car it snowed 18" and I didn't know how the little Honda would do even though it is all wheel drive I thought it might get hung up in a drift somewhere but it did amazingly well. I was shocked at all the accidents I watched happen right in front of me as much more sophisticated trucks spun off the road and the little fearless Element rolled on through. and before my temp tags expired I went on a cross country trip from Wash. DC to Moab Utah for a week of outragious mtn. biking. the car gets great mialige, has enough power, piles of space and is just a kick in the pants to ride in. I love it
Practical Box
The Element is all that it is expected to be; functional, unusual in appearance,a hit with the younger generation, reasonably comfortable, dependable, and easy to operate.
My Element
Great fun. Honda reliability. Great for hauling mulch and gardening supplies. More like a mini panel truck than a SUV. Very versatile. Perky engine.
STOP STARING AT ME!!!
The c Element is great overall. The gas mileage is great for an SUV. The audio system is great in the EX, but it doesn' come standard with remote entry. I love how u can turn all of the seats into a bed. The car rides great and doesn't tilt at all, but what was Honda thinking by putting only 160 hp into the car... come on you got to have at least 200 in an SUV. If you want attention, this is the car to buy. Everywhere i go people are just staring at the car, and within 3 weeks i have talked to about 30 people (that i've never met before) about the car and they have all said that they liked it.
LOVE THAT BOX
WE DUMPED OUR 91 Q45 TO GET OUT OF BAD RELIABILTY AND FUEL ECONOMY. THE ELEMENT GAVE US A BREATH OF FRESH AIR IN FUN AND UTILITY. FUEL MPG HAS BEEN CLOSE TO 26 ON TRIPS, NOT BAD CONSIDERING THIS BOX DOES NOT CUT THE WIND REAL GOOD. I HAVE HAD A DOZEN CARS, BUT NEVER ONE THAT TURNS HEADS LIKE THIS ELEMENT.
El;ement EX awd
Fun to drive and economical. Good interior and exterior design, but I think it needs more power in proportion to its body size.Side impact colition is somewhat poor due to the inadequate side bars support. In general its just tantamount to its price.
Element
I thought it was really ugly at first. But after I looked inside then drove it, I just had to have it. So far so good! My Element is even better than I thought! The salesperson at the dealership was really professional. There's just so much to say about this car!
AWESOME CAR!!
this car is amazing!
The perfect car!!
My wife and I found this vehicle to fit our every need. With it's low price tag, AWD, brilliant interior design, good milage, and excellent reliability. If you only need four seats, its the way to go!!
element
fun to drive but should have drl
Rock magnet
I had my element for almost 2 years. I got a lot of comments on how ugly the exterior design was, but it wasn't nearly as boxy as Land Rover, XB or even Hummer in my opinion. The classic min-woody quality is what drew me to it. I was able to fit my 450 lb 6'3" husband, as well as a 6'5" friend in the front as well as back seats. I am 5'3" and had no issues with my height in the vehicle. The large windshield will attrack every rock on the road. I did have to have the driver's seat replaced, due to some of the stitching coming apart, and the track bent.
Traded Mercedes
In January, I saw the Element and asked to load my work gear in it. No problem with the salesman. 10 minutes later I was trading my 2001 ML-320 in for the Element. I have 22k miles on it since February. Just regular oil changes. There was an A/C hose that broke, but the dealer fixed it in a snap while I was on the road in Minnesota. I throw my bikes in the back, I haul dirt, mulch, picked up a new couch, palm plants, kids, boxes, gone to the beach. It's not an SUV it's a UV. I don't care about the plastic scratching or breaking and there is no leather or upholstery to worry about. I love the price/reliability.
Honda Element - not a specialty vehicle
The Honda Eement is a spacious, super comfortable multi purpose vehicle. A 4 wheel drive with seat configurations that turn it into a mini van if you like. 23 MPG is not bad for an SUV. It handles like a charm. I am 55 years old and LOVE it.
Great Car
I am a second year college student. I also love to go on road trips with friends. This is a great car to take to the outdoors because it is so easy to clean and one can fit much stuff in the back. Sure it's not as fast going up hills, but who needs all the power when the stereo system sounds so great???
honda's H2?
i've already put almost 1,000 miles in one week on my honda H2 ; that is what most people say to me it looks like a mini hummer. Comfort is excellent, fun to drive well a 10! Interior design kids think it's a playhouse and adults are wowed by the space. My trip took me from san francisco to pismo beach and i heard mostly good things from people as they mugged me in parking lots like i was j-lo! by the way most men loved it 4/5 while females where unsure 3/5. It satisfy that H2 hunger for less than half the price!
Perfect All-Purpose Vehicle
My experience with the Element has been fantastic. It is the only vehicle I've ever owned that I really do like more every time I drive it. The versatility, ease of maintenance, fun factor go well beyond my expectations!
Daddy's Hip Hop Honda
Solid handling,a roomy and thoughtfully designed interior and unique looks sets this little sports utility vehicle in my opinion a cut above the rest. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the engine has an enourmous torque curve giving a very assured sense of power in all driving situations. I can't wait for the snow to be able to really appreciate the all wheel drive. I tend to keep my cars for over ten years and have every reason to believe that this vehicle will serve me well.
Biggest Bang For The Buck
I have had them all. This is the best all around vehicle for the money I have ever owned. What a kick to drive. As far as looks are concerned either you love it or you you hate it.
Jax Coggin - I love my Element
I bet a lot of families like ours are choosing the Element due to the design features that are a perfect fit for the average family on the go. With the Element you do not worry about spills in the car, wet bottoms from the pool or sand from the beach, everything will wipe clean with the urethane coated floor and the waterproof fabric seats. Spacious, comfortable and versatile seating makes the Element perfect for long drives. And did I mention how much stuff it will hold. In one trip, you can start your shopping at the mall, visit the home and garden center, go clubbing a Sams and still have plenty of extra room for more stuff.
Great Vehicle!
After coming from a very verstile PT Cruiser, I was very pleased with everything from the workmanship to the relations I have had with the dealer. It's a lot of fun to drive and love how I can configure the seats to whatever I want. It has one of the best sound systems I have every heard. I has space everywhere. And the washable floor and seats are a definate plus! The only small complaint I have is the amount money added to the vehicle for only a couple of options adds up fast.
it's Great
We got the car in Feb this year as soon as they Came Out...we frequent the beach often, and my old car Toyota camery I had to vaccume out all the time this car I just sweeep and throw some armoral on to clean it. Perfect looks like new. I'm 26 with two children 5 and 3 it is also perfect clean up car for them, messes dissapear fast. It drives well I have never had any problem and have about 15000+ miles on it. The only thing I don't love, just because I drive so often is gas milage, not the best coming from a Camery but it's worth it in the end. I coulnd't have picked a more perfect vehicle.
Element; Not just for "surfer dudes"
I think we're the first to own an Element in our area and we love it. We've been getting favorable stares left and right. It's very reasonably priced and you get a lot. The ride is pretty smooth and the pickup is great. The interior design is really unique and easy to access. (You can't hose it down though.) The back is amazingly roomy. There is a great selection of colors. If you have kids, the "suicide" doors are perfect for putting in car seats or having kids just climb right in. Overall, we love it.
In My Element
So far it has done very well in the snow. I love the interior setup. I'm planing a trip in a few months and the space will be wonderful. I had a Civic Del Sol before, which I loved, but this is so much more usable. It even allows me to keep my motorcycle in the same stall with it. Its only 12 inches longer then my Del Sol. I get lots of looks and the most interesting comment is, "It looks like a Hummer." I never thought that before I bought it, but I can see some resemblance. Its so quiet compared to my Del Sol. Its a very comfortable vehicle with a great sound system too. I have found the acceleration to be just fine, even better then my Del Sol.
HONDA MISSED THEIR TARGET
ALL OF THE "EXPERTS" AND HONDA SAY THIS CAR IS FOR THE 20-26 YEAR OLD. I'M 51 AND MANY IF NOT MOST OF OTHER ELEMENT DRIVER I HAVE SEEN ARE OLD GEEZERS LIKE MYSELF. I'M ALSO 6'7" AND 320LBS. I AM VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAVE PLEANTY OF ROOM. GREAT CAR!!!
my element
purchased an element 2 months ago and feel mixed about it. love the styling but my last 2 cars were a 6 cylinder 2000 sonata and a 2000 bmw 528 i. noise level is much higher and the pick up is less and whiney and with the 4 wd in the city only have marginally better mpg about 19. the ride is fairly rough in the city have been practicly knocked over on occasion. sound system and reliability have been fine but not sure i would do again. would look at a scion if had to do it again.
HONDA ELEMENT- A FUN SUV!
This is a very fun suv.Love It!!!
Fun Fun Fun
Absolutely practible. If you like to be different, this is the affordable choice for you. Plenty of room for four people. Single guy can use the space in back to haul all the things you wanted to, but couldn't in that coupe type car.
Large & Middle Aged
To thine own self be true...I'm a big boy, not very clean and love to hunt. The Element is perfect for all three traits! AWD rocks bett than expected....Only flaws are lack of passenger armrest and the car is prone to high wind movement.
This thing is AWESOME!
My wife and I have a one year old, so we needed something roomy with good gas mileage. I chose the Element over a Tacoma DoubleCab. I had my Element a week when my wife had me putting it to good use. I had to pick up 3 bales of hay for Halloween decor. All 3 fit in the Element with only stowing one seat out of the way. Also, I cleaned out the garage and only had to make one trip to Good Will because there is so much room in this thing! The only down side is that all my friends always want me to drive because they want to ride in my Element. I don't mind though, I just want to keep driving into the sunset every time I get behind the wheel.
