New CR-V after 2500 miles
This is our first Honda, in fact our first car other then one from the "big 3". The CR-V is a real pleasure to drive. It replaced a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 170K miles. As of now the MPG's are at 22 but this is only local driving. The voice recognition system needs some improvement. It rarely gets the command right the 1st time. I'm surprised at the amount of road noise inside & this might be a factor with the voice commands. We also have a new 09 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2dr. The Jeep is much quieter & has less road noise at 60MPH. We usually keep a vehicle for 15 yrs or more so I hope it'll last. My wife drives the CR-V 90% of the time.
Love My CR-V EX-L
CR-V is my first SUV. We loved the concept of SUV but were worried about the handling and gas consumption. We selected CR-V for its roomy interior, high mileage and its standard configurations. Honda is simpler and EX-L had all the features we wanted and none we didn't care about. It was a great decision. The handling is so smooth that it feels like a car. The mileage is very close to sedan. We love all the luxury features come with it.

Love My CR-V!
We have had this car for 8 months so far and I love it! Just took our first long trip (1800 miles) and thought it was time to write a review. There is very little we don't like. The CR-V replaced our Pontiac Montana - wanted something a little smaller, but not a car. For a long trip that we make once a year, we missed the extra space, but for the rest of the year, it is great!
Fits like a glove
I love this car. I went from my Acura Integra to this and was not intimated. I've not had to get used to driving it because it practically drives itself. The view is great and everything is easy to reach. The alignment needs to be adjusted and will do that tomorrow. It pulls to the right on some roads within 3 seconds on others it drifts within 6 seconds it's in the other lane. I'm getting 25.7 an 25.8 MPG which is right around what I was getting with my 15 year old 1994 Integra. They are highway miles though with some morning commute (bumper to bumper). Of course I take it easy when I drive. No gunning like a bat out of hell. It's a great car. I expect to keep it for 15 years like my Acura.
Nice vehicle
I have had my CRV for two months now and I can't complain. Gas mileage is ok for now (23 around town and 27 hwy) but I hope to get better mileage once it is broken in. One thing I am disappointed in is the Bridgestone tires on the CRV. They don't have very good traction at all in the snow. If it wasn't for the AWD I would be sliding all over the road. I can't believe Honda puts such a poor tire on their vehicles. Other than the tires I really like my CRV. It's fun to drive and a nice looking vehicle.
So far so good
I bought a CRV after reading reviews here and Consumer Reports. I have been very happy with the car since buying it. It feels very well put together and is comfortable to drive. It's not a Maserati but that wasn't what I was looking for. I just wanted basic transportation, reliability, and a price that I could afford. I'm definitely happy to own this car and I expect many years of use.
Engine Noise
Purchased 2009 CRV LX in mid Feb. Rode excellent in test drive in cool weather. Handling is fine ..compared RAV and Tribute but CRV won out. Owned Civic manual transmission LX previously for 12 yrs and never had a problem. Only negative with CRV now is disturbing engine high pitch whine which continues seconds after engine is turned off.
Handling and braking are excellent
Just returned from a 2500 miles trip to Florida and back, and have no serious complaints. My son is 6'4", did half the driving, and never lacked headroom. The car is quiet most of the time, except on rough concrete roads. The power level is fine, storage capacity is fine, handling and braking are excellent. Have also driven it on some snow covered roads and it felt very secure. I love the XM satellite radio. The leather still feels plasticky, but it is breaking in. My only "real" complaint is that the fan cycles on and off frequently when the car is idling, and that it is very noticeable and even sets off a vibration that is felt through the steering wheel. Current mileage is around 4500.
CR-V review
I recently purchased my CRV in Nov 2008 to replace an aging Nissan Frontier. While the vehicle drives well and gets great fuel economy (about 25 mpg), there are some minor things that bother me. The seats are very stiff and get to be uncomfortable on long drives, the dash slants away from the driver, so you have to lean forward to get to the the controls (radio, HVAC, etc) and the external mirrors are too small. They LX model has a foldable tray, for about $10 in material they could have put in a full center console as well. Other than those minor issues, this is a great vehicle.
My Honda CRV is the best car I've had in long time
