Zippy sporty car
I have purchased many fun cars in the past but haven’t seen many lately that are reasonably priced. Until now. I’m the happy owner of a 2020 Civic Hatchback EX. It’s solid, quality built and just plain fun to drive. In addition it doesn’t look like anything else on the road. Great overall package and 35 mpg on average doesn’t hurt either. I love the turbo, no problem getting on the freeway. Pure driving fun! After 9 months of driving I’m still impressed and it’s still fun to drive.

I love this car!
I owed an 1999 Civic Coupe, but after I got rid of it, I was underwhelmed (as was Edmunds) with the Civic body style for many years and decided not to buy one again. I instead went with the Honda Fit (2 of them in a row) primarily because of the awesome trunk space and youthful look. When I was in the market for a new car, I was going to go with another Fit... until I saw the 2020 Civic Hatchback. This is a great, sporty looking car, and it had the trunk space I refused to part with. It has way more features than one would expect for a car of that price (it seems like they thought of everything, and things I didn't even know I was missing out on). People I know who are into fast, luxury cars were really impressed and surprised by it. The things I noticed (and appreciated) immediately was the peppy acceleration, the auto dimming rear view mirror, the reduced road noise, the Apple Car Play, and the well designed center console. I haven't even explored all the features yet. So far, I really only have two negative comments. One was that it was almost impossible to find the hatchback in a EX-L trim (for whatever reason), and the other is that Honda decided to use shiny black plastic on all the exterior trim, which showed scratches, even when coming right off the lot brand new. I wish they had kept the matte finish on the trim. Overall, super happy with this purchase!

Great Car!
Smooth ride, comfortable interior, decent sound system, great AC system, awesome digital display system, great safety features, and useful additional features (brake hold and smart cruise control technology). This is just the base LX model and I feel like I’m driving a spaceship (in a good way). It only took me one hour of driving to learn all the features due to the ease of use. Click a button and the car will make sure you stay in your lane. Click another and the car will cruise control while matching the speed of the car in front of you, keeping a comfortable distance. One more and the car will stay stopped when you bring it down to 0 mph. No need to hold your foot on the brake. Also, the lease program is quite affordable. I got a better deal on this than they offered on a Honda Fit (which comes with way less features). I am excited for my daily commute in this car!

Sport Touring NBR 2
Just replaced my 2017Sonic Grey Sports Touring with the very same 2020 model...owned a Honda since 1980 model..I’m a BIG FELLA and Mrs is petite..Works for everyone...New one is QUIETER with more sound insulation and much improved front headlights..walked out of my 3year lease with EQUITY...(try that !!)..payment is 62 bucks LESS also..quintessential perfect size Civic..only complaint..continental tires SUCKED on last one..moved to higher profile tire..zero problems..wonderful so far so good..radio perfectly adequate..Navi heated seats front and back..A/C s doing well..30 local 40 on trips..love the paddle shifters for braking and spooling up more power without stepping down on gas pedal.. 2 years old now..change the oil rotate the tires…coming up on 20 thousand miles..apparently Continental has brought the tire line up to almost acceptable now..countless earlier ones had multiple tire issues and blow outs..I experienced 3 on previous touring accord and civic..none so far here..

TO MANY PROBLEMS FOR NEW CAR
At 40,000 miles windshield wiper motor completely quit. Driver window makes loud popping noise when rolling down. Beautiful car sad to say had less problems with my 2010 accord than my 2020 civic and I had it for 6 years and only had this car for 3 months. Very disappointed with so many problems with brand new car.

Such a fun, practical car!
As soon as the Hatchback came out in 2017, I knew I wanted it. I bought myself a 2020 Civic Hatch EX-L. The EX-L has a ton of good features, but I would have appreciated having integrated nav they had a year or so back, but alas CarPlay works well. The powertrain is great. I was very skeptical towards CVTs when my father had a 2012 Insight that was awful as far as powertrain went. I was worried about having enough power to climb mountain grades, but it does very well. On a trip to Southern California with the cruise set at about 73-75 with a mountain grade, I was able to achieve 40 mpg with the AC blasting. The infotainment system works well, and I have zero qualms about anything with this vehicle. The Honda Sensing features are a bit sensitive, mostly the collision braking system which has activated before even though my foot was on the brake pedal. Either way, I would rather the car keep me safe, but if you tend to brake a bit close it will ding at you. All around an excellent vehicle and I love driving it!
Zippy little car!
Great small car. Zippy, fun to drive comfortable. Ex has lots of perks. Really cute too; lots of complements. I would definitely recomend.

Great car!
Civic has a great reputation and long history of quality, value and performance. With a new 16 year old driver in the house we shopped everything and kept coming back to Civic hatchback. New 2022s have been in short supply due to chip shortages and car prices are stupid high, new and used both selling above MSRP. Without a new 2022 to see in person, it became virtual shopping and the 2020 won us based on the 1.5 turbo (not available on 2022 Sport) and the true hatchback styling. Fortunately, we found a like new trade-in with only 18k miles and with 22 months of warranty remaining. 2022 Civic hatchback models look more like the failed Accord Crosstour. Our 2020 Sport Touring has great features and is very comfortable, fun to drive and looks stunning. We paid about $2k more for the Sport Touring than standard Sport models and the extra upgrades are well worth the difference. Better lighting, sunroof, leather, heated seats, upgraded sound system, remote start, body accents, etc. I feel like this will be the in demand used Civic for years to come and will retain its value. Very happy!

Plenty of style and function.
I wasn't expecting all the options and functionality from this car. I was focused on reliability and economy...... it's everything I can ask for for this vehicle class.

One of a kind
Beautiful car, I love the Hatchback sport edition, and even better the touring trim. Fast enough, sporty details, and astonishing sound system.
Sporty and fun to drive
Have owned several Hondas and been very pleased with each one, including the 2020 Civic Ex Hatchback we just purchased. It's sporty and fun to drive. Particularly like the options of driving in economy mode, for increased mpg, or sport mode where you can feel the increased torque and hear the turbo come to life while the engine gently roars! Easy entry/exit with a sporty, yet comfortable cabin. Great technology, including the brake hold, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assistance.

It's better than a Prius
Pretty good gas milage, I get around 40mpg combined. Honda sensing, adaptive cruise control, I use it a lot. Big cargo area. No apple car play. No big scree. Camera is ok but not that great quality. Turbocharged. Visibility is not that good but it will do. Pretty good car so far no major complains.

Great car but needed it to last more then 2000km
Loved all the features but something about a car that dies in less than a year just after hitting 2000km, leaves me thinking reliability and civics don't go together any more. Also being a day since that happened it be nice if their customer service would answer or email or let me know any sort of details what so ever, but nothing.

My little silver skittle!
I leased my 2020 Honda Civic to avoid giving up another asset during a nasty divorce. I had never driven anything remotely new. I can honestly say this car has been everything I wanted, and I am purchasing my lease this weekend. From the roomy HB (I fit a small frame woman's mountain bike in the trunk) to the handling (talk about pulling a U-turn on a DIME) to the Apple CarPlay to its turbo, I thoroughly enjoyed driving this car. I previously owned Volvos but always wanted a Honda Accord. Volvos were substantial and lasted 250k + miles but very expensive to fix and maintain. I read many reviews and compared cars before leasing and figured, why not try the Civic HB? I was impressed by the price point for what it came with and how it drove per the reviews. Oddly enough, my Volvo had been insured by my ex husband, so I couldn't even test drive it to see how it drove before signing the lease. But I knew it was the right car for me. The gas mileage is exactly as advertised ... I get 34.2 mpg but drive like a bat out of hell. It brakes excellent (I know ... I had Brembos on my Volvo V60R), has tons of room, very sporty handling. I just can't say enough about the car. I watch racing and even started cheering on the Honda teams! Very appreciative I have been able to drive such a great car. Only issue I have had is that the driver's window sticks when it's humid, but I asked the dealer to take a look before I sign purchase agreement. I can't wait to get it tinted. Definitely buy seat covers if you get the beige cloth ... especially if you adventure with it and put a kayak on top like I do! Hope my review helps you make an informed decision.

Love this mighty fine car!
Smooth driving. The way it turns in a tight space is AMAZING. It's got wonderful getty-up and go. Fun, fun, fun, so fun, did you hear me say fun? to drive. Yes, that much fun. I've never had a hatchback before, wasn't too sure about it but YES, Love. Buy one. So much fun to drive.

Great car horrible infotainment
This is my wife's car and she loves it. However the Apple CarPlay DOES NOT WORK! The dealership threw up their hands and Honda does nothing. She loves driving the car, it looks great and does everything well, except this one thing. It is a deal-breaker. We are going to trade the car in on something from FCA or VW because we have had no problems with the infotainment systems in our other cars from those manufacturers

Highest rated compact hatchback
I love my Civic EX-L. It is surprisingly comfortable to drive, and gets over 30 mpg in the city. I chose the hatchback for its generous storage space even when the back seat is up. My lease is up soon and I plan to lease another Civic.

Happy Honda
I like everything! I’m 81 so I’m not looking for a 700 hp monster. The car handles nicely and is quick enough for me. It’s well-made.
I love my car
Honda gang. My new car is roomy and rides smooth and it’s pretty user friendly. It’s got some new and interesting helpful features that you can utilize if you want. I recommend

Best daily
Car is extremely smooth and has a lot of key features you look for in a new car couldn't be happier. The cvt has me nervous with longevity but I've been told they're way better than the nissans.

Can’t be the Honda
The vehicle is very good and very reliable and has a very spacious interior fit it being a hatchback
Sporty, quick little monster.
I've owned my 2020 civic since 2021, purchased brand new. I love this car. It's roomy in the hatchback variant and the trunk has lots of space as I have two toddlers. The car is fairly quick when you know how to control the throttle with the CVT. This is my first CVT car and before purchasing, I was nervous as I heard lots of negative feedback about CVT transmissions in general but after 90,000km, the CVT still pulls and works flawlessly. I change the fluid in the CVT every 40,000km and the engine every 4,000km as I've heard oil dilution still may be present on the 1.5T in the 2020 models. Since purchasing the civic, I've lowered it, added some aftermarket wheels, installed a cold air intake and a strut tower brace. This car is an absolute monster. Handles the corners like it's on rails and accelerates fairly decent. This car definitely surprises alot of people in traffic with the way it accelerates. My only two gripes with this car is the infotainment sucks and the engine splash guard design is ridiculously bad. Very slow infotainment to respond to gestures/commands and looks outdated. Splash guard for the engine is held on by clips and seems to either fly off/come off on its own or gets bent because it's made out of the thinnest aluminum on planet earth. Other than that, the car is amazing.
