Awesome Car for the money!
First import I've ever owned. Like the attention to detail. Awesome sound system, although a 6 cd radio would've been nicer. Impressive acceleration, car just wants to go,go, go! Probably why my mileage is a little less than what I expected. Overall, very happy with the car.
VIBRATIONS???
I recently purchased this LX-S and when I test drove it, I experienced a mild vibration from the car at about 50 MPH. I asked the sales rep about it and he explained that flat spot on the tires may be to blame. This sounded logical and in his explanation I agreed with him that this could possibly work out with the tired being inflated and brought up to operation temp. However, now 1500 miles later, I still have a vibration at 50-60 MPH. This is most severe first thing in the A.M. when the vehicle is cold. I have the vehicle in the shop today for the issue today for the second time. I am being told now that there is a service bulletin for this.
Excellent, but could be better
OK, I'm going to be a bit tough on this car even though I'm pretty happy with it. On the plus side: EXCELLENT leather seats~~!!!! Good power and nice auto trans. Good but not great gas mileage. On the negative side: The rear speakers are just hanging "bare" with no rear covers. This is really unacceptable. Cheesy badging all around the car. Cheesy interior badging with a big chrome H on the steering wheel. The interior looks like it was designed for "kids". Lack of a power drivers seat. Lack of a instantaneous and avg fuel usage. Could use a slightly 'heavier' steering. These are all minor 'nits' against a pretty good car. I drove a Prius and that was a real joke compared to this Honda.
Great Car!
I have been buying new cars over 40 years and I must say this one, the 2010 Civic EX-L is the best! People I know who drive large expensive cars say the EX-L drives and feels like a luxury car in a smaller body, can't think of anything negative or close to it!
Brand New Honda Civic LX
Just bought a 10' Civic LX and love it so far. Previous car was a Nissan Sentra which was a nice little car but not close to this Civic. Test drove the Chevy Cruze and Malibu, Ford Fiesta and Fusion, Nissan Sentra and Altima but the only car that was even close was the Cruze which was $2000 more than I got the Civic for. Civic has tons more room in the back seat than my previous Sentra or new Cruze which my kids noticed immediately. Not noticing the loud engine at all talked about in previous reviews. Pretty slow off the line but I didn't buy the car for speed. The Cruze definitely had a more stylish interior and features (bluetooth) and much "cooler" dashboard.
