Happy Long-term owner
72,000 trouble-free miles. I can't imagine how much I've saved on repairs. This car has been 100% reliable. It's one of the few Honda models in the USA that's made in Japan. Some say this car is impractical, but I disagree. It has a very large trunk for a small car. Legroom and headroom are the best of any small car I could find. I'm 6'2" and this car is very comfortable. Outstanding maneuverability and small turning radius.
Unbelievably fun to drive
This is a wonderful car to own. It fits into its own class by giving you a fast sports coupe, but also giving you a convertible with great gas mileage.

Best value for a roadster
Great little car, my second, no major problems with either. Great little engine just pulls all the way to the incredibly high redline (8250) Fun to drive, easy to maintain. Moderate body flex, but can be remedied by re- enforcing the chasis. Targa top is great, seals need to be lubed about once every 2 months to prevent squeaking, but this is only a 5 minute job.
Nice split personality
This is a good fun to drive in the city car. (I don't know that I'd suggest 10 hour driving days in it though) If you keep the tach below 5000 rpm it's a fairly high mileage normal sort of Honda but if you want a performance, just hold down the pedal and wait for 8000+... becomes a whole different car at that point! All I've done since I owned it (bought used) is change the oil regularly and had the timing belt/water pump done once. And like a lot of small Hondas, if you run it on empty long enough you can get about $12 worth of gasoline in it, which seems to last nearly forever if you don't spend all you time between 5000-8000 rpm.
High RPM
Just bought my 95 del so dohc v-tec. Can't stand the high revs on highway speed. Feels like it needs a 6th gear. Any ideas how I can adjust to lower rpm, through computer? Will tranny change help? Need better gas mileage like my standard 95 civic coupe. Going from close to 50 mpg down to 30 mpg on del so. Don't need the extra power. I drive about 250 miles a day, so the mileage does count. Just trying to increase mileage if I can.
