Honda Accords are reliable comfortable cars. It rides quiet while driving. It gets 38 mpg on the highway and 30 in the city. Takes turns well. Its a Honda. Reliability.

Absolutely love this smooth, comfy, roomy Honda. Drives like a dream although you do feel the road conditions a tad bit more than my previous Honda V-6 Coupe. The button control take some getting used to, especially after driving a manual. It's hard to let go of a car you love, but if something is going to replace it, go for the Sport 2.0.

Nice car but not exactly worth the money

I have a blue 2020 Honda Accord sport 1.5t with the cvt transmission. I do really like the car and it does get fantastic fuel economy. The design inside and out is beautiful. I do however feel the car cost too much money for what you get. Mine stickers around $28k and with that I still didn’t get the censors on the door handle to unlock/lock the car (it does have push to start so the capability is easily there already but Honda cheaped out), the sound system really isn’t great (it sounds very cheap). Sound systems are important to me especially since I drive a lot and the Honda has a very clear sound system but there is little to no bass (if you tend to listen to talk radio or do not like bass you will love it honestly) and if you do turn up the bass at all the speakers sound like they’re ready to blow within a matter of minutes. The infotainment system it’s self and the layout is fantastic. It really runs smooth and has little to no lag when navigating throughout the system. The screen is high quality with very little glare from the sun comparing to most models out there (I work for a rental car company so I get to test out and compare it to many vehicles) Also with that $28k price tag you don’t get a sunroof or heated seats (the car does not have many luxury amenities). The driving experience it’s pretty good as you would expect from a Honda (I have only experienced driving the 1.5t with cvt transmission) and for a cvt it’s probably the best I’ve ever driven. But all things considered I would prefer the optional 10 soeed transmission. The cvt has an eco like gear that it tries to stay in all the time, but it has no power in that “gear”. So you really have to step on it or down shift it your self with the paddle shifters to pass someone (Highway and city). A few people I know that have the car kept it in sport mode at all times because it prevents it from going into that eco gear but it does lower the fuel economy a lot so I do not find that worth it. It does have A LOT of turbo lag and I think some of that lag is due to the cvt as well, so if you pull out infront of someone and gas it, the car sits there doing nothing for about 3 seconds, but when the turbo kicks in the car really takes off and you’d never guess it was a 1.5t. The car is a very comfortable vehicle but the ride is in the harsher side. The seats are also very comfortable (I am a stocky guy) and they do not hug you too tight like some other brands. The trim in the car is nice but nothing to brag about. They do however leave the back seat with cheap black plastic instead of using the cheap fake carbon fiber looking trim they have in the front. The climate control system is easy to use and work really well. I’m glad they didn’t stick it into the infotainment system like many other brands do. The fan is very powerful and the ac is ice cold. The heat how ever can be pretty tricky in that car and I would assume it’s do to such a small motor. If you hop into the car and start driving it, it’ll slowly warm up like any other car would but if you use the heater while it’s still warming up, the car will take much much longer to reach operating temp and thus the heat stays lukewarm. (And I pulled into a drive through one time while this was going on but I was still using the heat since it was still warm but once I sat there for a couple minutes the heat started the go out and the temp gage was almost back to cold after about a 10 minute drive). The dimensions of the car feel very strange at times. The wheel base is very long (one of the cons to a large interior space) so it’s turning radios isn’t great at all and I constantly clip the back tires on curbs when turning (many other Accord owners I’ve talked too agreed). All that being said it really does have a ton of space and is great for a 4-5 person family if that’s what you’re looking for. The carpets inside the car are very cheap though, so I would suggest getting all weather floor mats. Within about the first 7k miles I could see a lot of wear, where you keep your foot while using the pedals, and they are difficult to vacuum since the carpet won’t let go of the sand/dust. The led headlights on the car work great and the brights are pretty good. I do however hate the lane keep assist and forward collision assist features it has. They seem to be very glitchy. If you drive over a dip, it throws the camera off and thinks you swerved out of the lane (I have it set just to warn me yet it still yanks the steering wheel trying to “pull me back into the lane” while every other brand out there will just vibrate the steering wheel and it wouldn’t bother me if it just vibrated but it really takes the steering away from you) and the forward collision assist definitely got better after a couple updates but if the car infront of you is slowing down to turn and they finished turning and now out of your way it still takes the Honda a few seconds to realize the car is gone so there have been multiple times where the car slammed the brakes on me thinking they were still there as well as brake checking all the cars behind me which almost led to me getting rear ended. There have also been times I’ve been on the road by my self with no oncoming traffic, as well as no one infront or behind me and the screen started flashing “BRAKE” which is what it does before it slams on the brakes. It never did brake check me but it’s weird that it still does that every now and again. However when you do need them they seem to work pretty well and still aren’t as bad as a lot of other brands. Since I do get to drive all the sedans out for sale today, Honda would still be in my top 5. Comparing the Honda to its biggest competitor (Camry) I would take the Honda. The Honda has more power and better handling. The camry does have a more comfortable ride and the seats don’t seem to hug you as much. The accord is also has more tech than the Camry as well as a much nicer touchscreen. The inside of the accord overall is nicer than the Camry in my opinion as well but the biggest difference you’d notice is the Honda is just a lot funner to drive. Overall I really do think it’s great car and am happy with my purchase. It’s a Honda so you know it will be reliable and it also drives like a Honda so it is a nice experience. I wouldn’t have been so nitpicky if it weren’t for the price tag. There are many other brands (for example Hyundai & Kia) that will give you many more features for the money. I traded in a 2013 Kia Optima for my accord and I would easily go back to Kia (I am a geek for tech) and Kia gives you way better tech for the money. As far as customer service with honda financial goes, it’s not great. My honda is a lease and honda will not let me trade it in with anyone else but them (they made the change after I signed the lease) and are offering 4K less than the cars trade in value now and I’ve been getting offers for $3k over the trade value. (I do want something with more tech and power other wise I wouldn’t consider trading it in, and I did want the 2.0t accord but a $4-5k upcharge is not worth it in my opinion). I like the car but will never work with honda financial again. As I said before over all a great car, I gave it a 4 star as I believe it deserves. If you aren’t a tech geek and just want a nice simple car, you’ll love it! 2020 Honda Accord sport 1.5t cvt I am 21 years old.
