Used 2009 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Awful Front Seats & Excessive Road Noise
I had higher expectations from this new 09 Accord however, I find it to be inferior to my 04 V6 Accord in both comfort and road noise. Road noise can be solved with different tires such as the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires that I have on my 04. They are extremely quiet! However front seat comfort is another story. There is too little cushioning and the side bolsters are too extreme! The driver's seat is a bit better because of the 8- way power adjustment which allows the seat cushion itself to be raised or lowered and angled flat if need be. The passenger seat with just a 4-way adjustment does not allow this. Honda needs to immediately fix this problem with an 8-way power passenger seat.
Visibility when it rains
I have a problem...rain on the outside of the window and the mirror makes for a difficult time changing lanes. You can't see.

Does Honda quality still prevail?
I've always had Honda's. My '98 Honda Civic was an awesome car and value. My '89 Honda CRX was also amazing. I've had the 2009 Honda Accord for 5 months & have put 10k miles on it. There is no question, it looks great in & out. This new design has character, the Accord has been missing this for years. I'm not impressed with the ride quality..you feel every bump..no exaggeration. Also, the interior scratches very easily. This is still by far the best car for the money!!
Great Car
After agonizing over Avalon, Lincoln MKS, Camry, Taurus, Fusion, and starting my search determined to buy American, I arrived at the conclusion that this was the most car built by American workers on the market. The ride is just a step below the Acura TL, the gas economy for a v6 is wonderful, especially balanced against the power and acceleration the engine provides. The only bad thing I can say about the seats is that they are not quite as supportive as those in the Acura TL. Let me tell you, if you want the same equipment in a Taurus or an Avalon or Lincoln you will need another $7,000.00 so do yourself a favor and put the extra money in your pocket and seriously consider this car.
Excellent Car
I bought this car a couple weeks ago and I must say it is a fabulous car. I did a lot of research before buying this car and I really wanted a safe car because this is my first car. I was looking at this and the Camry and this car by far drove a lot better than the 4 cylinder Camry. It drives just as well as a 6 cylinder. The interior of the car is extremely classy looking and superb. Everything I've ever wanted in a car and more. True luxury car for a non-luxury car price. This car has pretty much everything! It's such a joy to drive. =)
