AMAZING
I love my honda, i have had it for 6 years, and it now has over 465k miles and only have had to do routine maintenance and minor things, never had a problem. Still runs and drives great has ice cold ac and still shifts and runs just like it did when i got it 6 years ago. I love taking it to the mountains and taking it camping and it has just always been a great family car. I will never trade it in no matter what... i will drive the car till it dies, then just install another motor once it does die, i always recommend Honda! I love my Honda!
Sally's one and only car
I have had the car for 21years and had little trouble with it. I take good care of it, It gets waxed at least once a year. I bought it new for 20,100.00 It is a Honda accord 4 door xl, It is white and never repainted. Timing belt has been changed twice. I had the muffler replaced in 2001 by Midas and recently had the muffler replaced again in 2015, Was charged only for labor. It's a good running car and had little trouble with it all these years. I have 157000 miles on it and it still runs good. Had the air conditioner fluid, recharged a/c is great. My children and grandchildren have driven it from time to time. I wouldn't trade it , I am hoping and waiting to get to 25 years .

360,000 miles, like new
Great car, purchased 12 years ago, never left me stranded at 360,000 miles. Very comfortable, very reliable, white paint still looks great, interior looks great. Very durable interior materials that really don't show any signs of wear at all, except maybe the floor mats. 5-speed is a must, original clutch after all these miles, shifts perfect. Recently replaced some wear and tear parts, radiator, stereo, ac compressor, timing belt (x2). Other than that it has never broke down, just maintenance. Although odometer stopped working about 3 weeks ago. About to get a new accord coupe, i'll probably cry when i sell her though. Best relationship I've ever had
1994 Honda Accord EX Sedan
Great car when you run it on cruise. I recently bought one with 120k miles on it, very clean from inside, runs great, like the sunroof, cruise, spoiler on the back, nice handling etc. This car is not a racing car and takes time to pick up but once on the road and in D4 (auto)it runs smooth and no hiccups. I like the way the car handling, is there any room for improvement? yes! They could have made the seats a little more comfortable, lumbar support and power driver seat is a steal. It's not a luxury car but if you need a daily commuter or A to B this is the best deal.I got an avg of 27 mpg on highway with a speed of 70-80 mph and city around 24. Fabric- seats '94 held themselves really well.
It Never Quits!
This car right here was purchased by my cousin back in 95 it's jet black with the spoiler which makes it look that much cooler. this car now has 374,000 miles and, still running strong it still rides on the original suspension, axles, struts. and the only thing that has went wrong recently was the radiator and, blower motor and thermostat also went out but what can you complain about? over 300,00 miles and, Just now giving minor problems I have to say this was the best accord ever made if you can get one go for it because they are worth every dime!
Super HONDA
I got my 1994 Accord on auction, it had 132,000 miles on it at the time, now the engine gave out due to a busted heater hose, I ran it hot, it had 482,000 miles on it, this baby just kept on ticking. This was my second 94 Honda, my first had 413,000 miles, then I donated it. They had a 4 cyl, great pick-up, and about 35 mpg, and smooth to drive, Honda lover forever.
220k miles
After 20 years of buying new American cars, I could no longer afford a car payment. I purchased a 1994 Accord EX 5-sp with 217k miles for $1800.00. I spent $41.00 on a used tail light and touch-up paint. The car passed CA emissions with flying colors, and I drive it over 100 miles every day. It drives like I took it off the showroom floor. My last car was a new Chrysler SUV that cost 41k, and was on its 3rd transmission at 107k miles. I wish I had discovered Hondas sooner.
Mine must be a lemon??
I'm not sure what everyone else is raving about regarding how great and reliable this car is, because mine has been quite the opposite. I bought mine in 2007 with 98k miles on it from a friend who had just replaced the timing belt. Still, over the past 5 years, I have replaced more things on this car than I ever have on any of my other vehicles I've ever owned. I've owned 3 Hondas in the 90s, 2 Toyotas in the 90s, 2 Nissans 80s, a Volvo 90s, and a Pontiac 80s. This was the worst car out of all of them.
beware of new/redesigned model years
in the first 3 years, we had minor cosmetic problems, like door handle trim,(replaced many times-factory recall)-spent alot of time at dealers, glove box retainers broken, brake lights relaced every 6 mo. air conditioner smells after turning off and running just air major problems at 46000 mi- replace water pump!! new water pump now has 140000 miles!!!!!!!!!!replace slave cylinder! steering wheel deteriorated. at 90000 mi (5 yr) replace broken plastic radiator and again at 186000 (12/2003) new struts and shocks at 170000. very unhappy about these problems, but overall, 10 years, satisfied.
Makes a great first car.
I bought my '94 Accord EX 4 cyl auto in July 2007, with 91K miles on it, had it for 2.5 years and it was great. A few problems occured, like the A/C went out, I replaced the exhaust sytem, the battery and a couple tires. For a car of its age, I didn't think that was too bad. It ran wonderfully, never broke down and never stalled on me. Finally, though, in November of 2009, the heater core went out, causing a nasty mess of sticky smog to enter the car through the air vents, so I couldn't turn on the heat...during the winter, it was NOT fun. So, since the repair would have cost me over $1,000, I had to sell it. It was just too much. Overall, it was a great car and I highly reccommend it!
The Car That Won't Die
Pros: Sporty handling, Honda reliability, good gas mileage, the first car I ever drove. Cons: Harsh over bumps, wheel well is a bad spot for rust, that's about it for me This was my dad's back-and-forth-to-work car for years. When I got my license, I borrowed it a lot and I loved it! The handling was good, with zippy acceleration and tight turning, making for easy parking and fun to drive in traffic. It was a bit harsh over bumps, but I thought the handling made it worth the stiff ride. Gas mileage was good, frequently getting over 30 on the highway and usually about 25 in the city. Literally the only bad thing about this car is the wheel well rust, which can get bad in snowy states. The car very infrequently had problems, even though it was over 20 years old and had nearly 300,000 miles on it when it was finally time to get rid of it, but then again, it's a Honda. The last time I ever drove it I had tears in my eyes, knowing it's the first car I ever drove, and soon it'd be gone.

Can't Touch This
Best Honda I've ever owned. Great on Gas, fun to drive, As comfortable as my 2002 Accord EX. Great Handling, especially with my new 17" BBS Wheels and V Rated High Performance Tires. I added Direct cold air intake, a hotter thermostat, and High Performance wires and plugs... this car handles Awesome! Everyone asks me to sell it to them; huh, right! Get your own.
Mixed review
The car runs great at 94,000 miles but the drivers window had to be repaired 6 times the hand brake got stuck in they up position, the trans. got stuck in the drive position, each time the alarm is activated the radio asks for a security code - it is only suppose to do that when the battery dies and that happened about 5 times, the seats that fold down in the rear bounce back up, and the sunroof gets stuck periodicaly and theres nothing the dealership can do! Beware of this piece of junk!!
Trying to get one more.
Bought in 1999 with 65K miles. The odometer stopped on 259K, Tried to fix it so I can drive up to 300K. Engine is still running good, but the rust killing it, Patched it, passed the inspection. The clutch is original and no sign to give up. Starter has been replace 3 times and Exhaust 5 times, radiator 2 times and timing belt 2 times. Many many times the calipers and one time the rotors. Now you figure out the durability and performance of this car. People are ready to by it for 500. Wanna ride a car for long, you need to know little work too otherwise it may not be worth of keeping over 15 years. Feel sorry not able to put 300K miles and take a pictures, because it stopped.
An Absolute Champion
I love this car. First off, my history with it is important. It got me through high school and college, as well as six years delivering pizzas during that time. I treated my car about as bad as one could within reason. I was late with my maintenance, drove only 3 miles to school every day in Minnesota weather, and delivered pizzas, which is about as stop/go as it gets. It now has 220,000 on it and has barely had anything wrong with it. Given how poorly I've treated it, it's a wonder it's made it this far. I don't think I could get rid of it unless it started giving me persistent problems or something really expensive occurred. It still runs great though, so who knows how long it'll be.
Phenomenal!
Excellent car! I bought the car to be used as a college commuter car because my Ford F-150 was costing too much in gas, but I did not want to sell it. The Accord has been nothing but exceptional, definitely well ahead of its time. Starts up every time now at 275,000 miles, runs and drives excellently. Feels 10 years ahead of its time, looks like it too. Styling is exceptional inside and out. After owning it for a while it became my primary driver. My only gripe is the clear coat is starting to give way. Other than that it is a fantastic car.

Best Car For The Money
I bought this car with 104,000 miles on it. It now has 120 and is running perfect. It is amazing to see a car with that kind of miles running so well. Honda makes a great vehicle, and offers the best customer service I have ever experienced. For being an 8 year-old car, I cannot think of another 94' vehicle out there that could even come close to matching this car's performance/reliability and most important looks/styling.
better than expected
I bought this car used from a very honest lady who even told me the A/C needed to be charged and the valve cover gasket needed replacement. I have driven this car for a couple of years, and outside: oil changes, valve adjustment and gasket (100 bucks), and charging the A/C (50 bucks) the car has been ultra reliable. The even more surprising thing is that the car is still fun to drive. It rides ultra smooth and is much faster than it feels. I am often at 80 mph on the freeway and don't even notice except for all of the cars I am passing up.
Best Car Ever Owned!
My dad bought this car new and was going to trade it in (on a newer modedl) at 238,000 miles. Even with those miles I decided to buy it from him. I just turned over 281,000 miles and the engine runs strong. The body has some rust but the overall the car has been great. It is slowly starting to lose its gusto and I will be trading it in soon (hopefully on another used Accord). I would highly recommend any Accord!!!!
1994 ACCORD EX, Bigger Bang For The Buck
I bought this car used with about 100 thousand miles on it. I do quite a bit of driving and over the last year I have put 30 thousand miles on the car and have had no major repair costs. This car is great on fuel and obviously very reliable. If you plan on getting a used car more than 5 years old with high mileage, then there is no safer bet than an accord.
1994 Accord - still running strong ...
I bought a 1994 Accord LX coupe in November 2005. At the time, it had 177,000 miles on it - just getting broken in for a Honda. Had no hesitation about buying it. I kept it for 4 years, until I moved to Hawaii. In the 4 years that I had it, I had little problems. I burned the clutch up (I was new to 5 spds). I got some new brakes. I did have to replace the engine at about 220K (it was about $1000). That was about it. I sold it to my ex-boyfriend, who drove it for 2 more years until selling it. It was still running strong (and will do so for a while). Loved this car!!
Reliable car to own
Purchased a gray LX used at 38k which was assembled in Japan. Changed Radiator, Ignition key switch, Battery and tires once. Runs great at 101k without any hesistation. Recently my friend tested it at 115 MPH still has some power. Just do the regular maintenence in the manual she will last a long time. Driver side window rolls up slow maybe need new motor.
My White Honda
It is a great little car with a big car ride. Great on gas. Inside has lots of room. and plenty of trunk space.
great car, couldn't ask for more
bought the car with 140,000 from a good friend. her mom had bought it brand new off the truck in 94, still runs and drives like a new car, tons better than the ford thunderbird it replaced!
Love My Honda
Best auto I've ever owned. Purchased new in 93 and 178,500 miles later, it still runs just as good as the day I drove it off the lot. Weekly trips from Atlanta to Columbus GA during a 3 year period it never left me stranded.(Extremely Reliability) HONDA MAKES EXCELLENT AUTOMOBILES!!
No more Hondas for me
I've had two '94 Accords and both had similar and dissimilar problems. First the transmission is the worst I have ever felt in my life. Both Accords I bought had over 100k miles when I bought them. They both had a/c problems. The first one never got cold, the second was cold until the evaporator core busted ($700 problem if Honda does the work). The first one also had a mysterious voltage problem that dimmed the lights at night like the battery was dying. The second one won't start intermittently. The ride quality/handling was sloppy in both cars. Maintenace is expensive - for ex. timing belt and brake rotors are headaches compared to most cars.
Great Car - Great Value
I have over 230000 miles on my Accord and still going...
It's perfect
94 accord lx 5 speed. You will never need another car again! 32mpg on the regular and I deliver pizzas. 5 speed is a must! I put a cold air intake on and high performance wires and plugs. THAT IS ALL U NEED. Keep good oil in it and be off!
Best In Class
Bought what was literally the first '94 EX 5-speed on the dealers lot. It felt weird to drive it around and not see another one on the road for what seemed to be months. Its been used primarily as a commuter, with a few long (2,000 mile) family and business trips thrown in. The Honda has never been less than sterling. Good power, great handling, fine ride, comfortable. Only significant problems have been a radiator failure (fixed under warranty) and a starter failure. Very few other issues, all of which were/are inconsequential. Overall, its been so good that I bought a second one for my teenage son (who is customizing it big time!).
My 1994 Honda Accord EX
It's cool, but now compared with other cars, it's "out of the gang."
Excellent all-around car!
This car has been extremely reliable and very low cost to maintain. The air conditioning has been the only repair of any significance and that is to be expected on an 8-year old car. Always starts and runs smoothly. Handles like a sports car yet will carry a family. I looked into a Ford Taurus at the time and decided to buy the Honda. Boy, am I glad I did. The Taurus was like driving a boat!
Great reliable car
This has been a reliable, comfortable vehicle. Even through tough Minnesota weather--on some of the coldest days--it started right up and ran great. Wonderful car. Would get another just like it in a heartbeat.
Very happy Honda owner
I have owned this car for 8 years and 152,000 miles and I have spent $-0- on repairs!!! Honda quality is incredible! It still drives very nicely and rides great; does not show its age at all. I also own another Honda, a new Odyssey.
Absolutely Perfect!
The best car Honda's ever made since before '93!
My accord isn't fun a fun car
It has good looks and interior. However, while the car is quick, it doesn't provide driving fun as I have to slow down upon corners due to its imprecise steering and mediocare suspension (not as good as my 93 Mazda 626ES). Reliablity? Good for the first 5 years but only ok at 57,500 miles (serviced regularly). Quite a few rattles, silly alarm often cut off my fuel suddenly in the middle of a highway (dangerous), right headlight burnt out twice per year, engine stalled a few times and master cylinder of my power brakes failed. But according to the many nice reviews here, maybe I am the only one who got a lemon.
Still Quality After Eight Years
I purchased this car in Jan. 2002. I was hesitant about buying the eight year old car from a private seller. But to my surprise, the ride of the car is smooth (even though it is a four cylinder) and has given me no problems. What helped is that the prior owner routinely kept up the maintenance. The look of the Honda is a classic--sleek and smooth and still can compete with the modern cars of today. In addition, I really like the gas mileage.
Fun spelled w/ 5 letters: Honda
I own a 94 Accord EX 4 door automatic. This was my first car I've ever owned, and it will be the last car I ever own because I'm not getting rid of this thing for any reason. The engine is the most reliable thing on the earth. It fires up with no problem. I've tried to kill the engine before, but I found it impossible (I can't say the same thing about the trans because I'm on my 3rd one). It is a very slick looking car. Mine is red with aftermarket headlights and an oem rear wing spoiler. The stock rims look nice and sporty (thou they could be bigger) the car get great gas mileage. And the best part: VTEC!! It's not a super fast car, but it's not a super slow one either.
Sad to see it go.
Bought this car with 70k miles 10 years ago, now time to upgrade it. If you're looking for a good budget car - assuming it's been maintained well - then you should consider this car. No major problems during ownership, standard maintenance, did rebuild trans, but wow, still kicking after all this time, and I'm hard on it.
Almost loyal as a dog
This has been a reliable car. Before I owned 2 Chevy Cavaliers (ugh), an Audi, a VW Golf, a Ford Escort (double ugh), and a Chevy Celebrity Wagon. Only the Audi and the Golf lasted longer; now at 108,000. However, the finish (white) lost its luster in the FL sun after a couple of years. Recently it wouldn't start within a couple of minutes of shutting off the engine, as when you get gas or are running errands. I just had to replace the master brake cylinder and now stops are bumpy and one setting of the AC doesn't work any more. In thinking about a new car, I wonder if any one that I can afford will hold up as well.
My car
It's excellent to have an Accord.
Car that last
parents bought me this car when it had 110k miles. Now it has over 190K. Everything is working great like the first day i bought it.
Excellently built automobile.
I have had my 1994 Honda Accord for 4 years, and yesterday, I traded it in at 181k miles (still running perfectly) for a 2007 Honda Civic. This accord was the best car I ever owned. I purchased it used as a car to get me through college, and it did that and so much more. It's great on gas and even after almost 16 years (car was built in 1993), still had no rattles, little road noise, and handles like a dream. The only reason I traded is because I wanted a newer car and fell in love with the new Civics. The 1994 is still running perfectly on the factory engine, transmission, and A/C!!! The best most reliable cars out there are Hondas! My '94 is more comfortable than a lot of brand new cars!
Best Car
I've never had a problem on this car that wasn't inflicted by me.
Best Car I've Ever Had
I cannot believe how reliable this car has been for me. Currently at 154,000 miles and I plan on keeping it for a while.
Great Car - Hi Quality and Reliability
Overall great reliability. Bought the car new (2nd Accord - kept the first 8 years and sold with 157k miles. I had a std transmisssion and never had to replace the clutch. Front Leather seats had to be replaced after five years. Replaced radiator fan (105k) and a/c fan (125k) but other than that just routine maintenance. Build Quality outstanding. The car had no rattles after nearly nine years. Replaced it with a 2003 Accord EX! Another Great Car!
Love my Honda
Only had a few minor repairs as far as the engine is concerned, but nothing major. Almost about to hit 200,000 miles on the odometer, which is equal to about 75,000 miles on most domestic vehicles. This car has proven to better than the 1999 Accord I purchased but ended up selling. It's always great to see another older model Honda on the roads, great advertisement.
It ain't no old lady
Don't hate! This is probably the best car ever! One of the last Accords made-in and imported from Japan. After all these years, it still taunts most other vehicles on the road. Agile and spry. The least wiggle room on a busy highway just makes this 'jackrabbit' more fun! During the last 13yrs. of ownership, this Honda had only one major repair and was my fault for not heeding factory recall of 'front seal.' Time lapsed and I paid! It was a good opportunity to replace the timing belt, all seals and other rubber parts. Texas climate probably would have worn 'em out soon enough. Last week, it needed a $240 ignition switch. Ooh! Still gets 25-30mpg and rockets to 110mph. Who needs a hybrid?
Best car ever!
I bought this car from my brother. He bought it from my sister who discards all new cars she buys at 100,000 miles. We snatch them up because there is always life left in them. This car has 220,000 miles and running strong. It has had a radiator and water pump/timing belt changed as well as a wheel cylinder. The motor still purrs like a kitten. The transmission shows a little sign of wear but still runs string and shifts easy. The interior has held up well to my rather large family (I am 6'6" 350 lbs). I love this car.
Love everything but the A/C
Purchased new and passed on to my daughter in 2000; still going strong. Smooth, easy shifting 5-spd trans makes it fun to drive. Great acceleration for a 4-cyl. Interior room and trunk space great, comfortable for 4 adults, acceptable for 5. But the A/C has never worked well, and has sucked up a lot of money.
