A hidden jewel in segment

I come from a large family where I've had ample opportunities to own various vehicles, which have mostly been imports. I took a risk with the Focus, and I am suprisingly happy. I am an extremely demanding owner, and I couldn't find even one flaw the first 60 days. One exception was the inaccurate fuel gauge tha left me stranded for 1/2hr. Otherwise, much larger than it appears and very fun to toss into curves/corners. Granted, it's no BMW like my other car, but much more rewarding than a toyota or even honda. Hope there's more of this from Ford.

I've owned my Focus since 9/27/01 and it's been a great car. It's fun to drive and totally reliable. I've never had one thing go wrong with it.

Egg Yolk Yellow

Great car, super fun to drive, holds the road and curves like a sports car. Comfortable even for me at 6'-1" Decent if not great fuel economy. Road noise is there, but similar to any small car. I have 2003 ZX5 Premium with sunroof in Egg Yolk Yellow. It gets admiring looks and feels more expensive than it is. After rebates, it only cost me $12,500. It could definitely use more power. If I were to buy a 2004, I'd opt for the 2.3L 145-HP engine and leather seats. Leather would make it feel like a car costing twice as much.

I just bought a new Focus ZX5 last month and it is the funnest car to drive. I traded in an F150 and I am just so happy not to have to park that HUGE truck anymore. And I can even fit a 30 inch TV in my Hatchback!

I have enjoy my Focus so far and have 43,000 miles. I did have to replace the front breaks only. It runs like a champion. It's only been in the shop two times. The tires still looks great after having the vehicle for over 2 years now. I purchase my vehicle in July of 2001.
