Used 2002 Ford Focus Consumer Reviews
one of the best
I owned my Focus for 5 years; have had transmission replaced at 37000 miles, tires every 20000 miles and the alternator replaced once. Not too much work for 140000 miles, besides routine maintenance. I like the car's fuel economy/handling/pickup. If I didn't need more room I would buy a new Focus. So I sticking with Ford and buying a Ford Escape Limited.
fun to drive
pretty good. very stable, better than most japanese cars. not enough power though.

Not what its made out to be
I have had my car in the shop more than in my driveway. I have had two recalls already and the car had to be brought back in because of very poor gas mileage, tranning problems as well as problems with the engine. certainly not a good buy.
Focus on style
Awesome ride, was very critical, and was impressed. the smooth handling,a nd comfortable interior sold me on the vehicle. Not to mention the great economy!
Fun car
Tight, crisp handling on 16-inch low profile (205x50) tires. Delivers decent power from a sweet sounding, twin-cam engine at 4-6000 RPM. Precise rack and pinion steering gives good feedback. Very comfortable inside. Lots of room for big people. Nice sound system with 6 cd changer in the dash. Good ergonomics. Neat, edgy exterior and interior styling. Flexible cargo carrying configurations possible with 60-40 fold down rear seats (which are also quite comfortable). Good head and legroom front and rear.
