I have owned this vehicle since 2002 and has paid for self many times over. It will tow anything out there I have pull tress and campers with it. I loaded the bed with wood and gravel. I even took down a telephone pole in a crash and drove it home. No emissions testing and no DEF. Best truck out there.

i bought mine off lease @ 140,000 miles, rear leafs broke before I could put any weight in it, winter came, it wouldn't start unless plugged in. Changed the entire glow plug system and still no start, drive shaft failed, transmission failed, front hub bearing failed, cup holder face broke, and the cabin had wind noise from the doors. I finally gave up throwing money at an expensive diesel truck. I will never own another computer controlled diesel; it never had a trouble code and no one could figure out the cold start problem... dealer told me the engine was worn out and needed to be replaced @140,000 miles. The transmission is one year & one model only and usually has to be ordered from Ford.

I have a 1999 f350 2wd 4 door and it is the best truck i have ever bought. i get average of 18 mpg and i have an edge programmer and i pull all the time when i pull i get about 15 mpg i have 275,000 and i change the oil every 10,000 miles . it is very reliable and im looking to replace it when it hits 300,000 miles i just want to up grade to a newer truck and i want a 4wd truck. it only uses 2 qts every 10,000 miles cant ask for a better truck. ford is built tough .

this veichle is great when used for what it was made for....to tow things.whatever i pull, this truck makes it seem like nothing. but as far as commuting back and forth to work,it is the pits.there isnt a gas station it doesnt like and the ride is rough when not towing. overall an excellent veichle!!

We've been satisified with the performance of this truck. We use it to carry a payload of around 2000- 3000lbs and also use it for heavy towing. It has carried us across the country many times. We have had minor problems with this truck, all fixed while under warranty. I am a bit surprised by the other not-so-favorable reviews of this model.
