The Tundra is Toyota's full-size pickup truck available in a variety of configurations, including a pair of cab sizes, two engines, three bed lengths, and several trims ranging from the budget-friendly to the luxurious. There's also an off-road-focused trim, the TRD Pro, which includes a locking rear differential and crawl control, among other trail-friendly niceties. A hybrid powertrain is available, though it's more focused on improving power than fuel economy. It was last redesigned for 2022, so we don't expect any major changes for the 2025 Toyota Tundra.

The Toyota Tundra is good at just about everything. It doesn't lead the pack in towing capacity or ride comfort, but it's a full-size pickup that will fulfill the needs of most shoppers. It boasts impressive off-road chops and can tow up to 12,000 pounds when properly equipped, and its powertrain is a smooth operator. There's little to complain about when looking at the Tundra, and that's worth something.

Competitors to consider

The Tundra faces stiff competition from the usual suspects. The Ford F-150 remains our favorite full-size truck thanks to its do-everything ability, virtually endless customization options, and above-average fuel economy. But the F-150 is closely followed by the Ram 1500, a similarly capable truck with an even smoother ride thanks to its coil-spring rear suspension.

The 2025 Toyota Tundra is up against tough competition, but its jack-of-all-trades ability makes it a compelling choice for shoppers looking for a full-size truck.
