Bought new in 2009 and still runs like a champ
My 2009 F250 XL 4x4 with the 5.4L engine has been a great truck for the fourteen years I've owned it. It has 150K miles on it. Very basic truck; bench seat w/o console, no power windows, mirrors, or door locks, but it does have AC. It's lived in a very salt air environmen with salty roads in winter, and has no rust on the cab or frame. Since about the third year I owned it, I've had the underbody sprayed with Fluid Film each fall. The rear wheel wells just started to rust, but I'm going to replace it with a wooden bed that will really suit my needs better. I plow snow with it, tow relatively heavy loads, and have had it overloaded a number of times. Outside of routine maintenance, I've had to do very little (new ball joints a couple of times, tie rod ends once (both due to snow plowing), and a new AC compressor once. It's been extremely reliable, and shifts and runs great. Overall fuel mileage is about 12.5 mpg. I really can't say enough good things about this truck. Hope and plan on it being my last truck.
