Used 2007 Ford F-150 SuperCab Consumer Reviews
4x4 Issue
I bought this truck new.Have only had 2 issues.Brakes needed replaced at only 28,000 miles.Big issue is a loud noise from front left tire that sounds like metal pieces bouncing around a metal drum.Only did it twice.By the time i stop it goes away.Checking into it online i find alot of people with same problem.Mine is getting fixed as i write this. Its the 4x4 system, the vacume line blows and the gears partially connect but it does not happen constantly. Most people think its the brakes.I am totally happy with my truck but am surprised theres so many people out there with this problem.I am at 30,000 miles now.
Never Again
Maybe there are others out there who have had similar problems and you can get back to me? Class action lawsuit?? Ford has continued to refuse to repair my 2007 f-150. The engine makes a raucous clicking noise that the service department from 2 different dealers and a ford "engineer" have not or will not identify. Ford has told me that this is as good as it gets. With the noise my truck makes I will never be able to sell it, even when I get the equity down to where it makes sense to sell it. My engine is a 5.4 liter 3 valve V-8. Don't but one of these trucks, you will be sorry and you will get in your truck every time you turn it on and say, "I hate this truck. We will never buy another ford

Still Love it, even after 15 years!
Two years and almost 30,000 miles later, I'm still lovin' my Lariat. The interior is great with the heated seats, auto dimming mirrors and the climate control. I've been hunting in some pretty rugged terrain, climbed a couple of very steep hills off-road and it does very well in 4 wheel drive. I've come back with Nevada Pin- Stripe down both sides and I just polish them out with Clear Coat Scratch Remover. My tires are about 1/2 worn, brakes have little wear and no problems. I can't gripe one bit about this truck; it's about as good as it gets. my wife loves it too. I have high hopes that my Lariat will be as good a vehicle as my 1984 Bronco II was after 10 years and 150,000 miles. 3/4/22: I bought my 2007 F150, 4 x 4, Lariat, Super Cab new and it's reliability has surpassed the best vehicles I have ever owned. The one and only REPAIR I have had to make on my truck was the replacement of a faulty air bag. All other service items have been standard maintenance. This truck is amazing smooth and comfortable to drive. I am an archery hunter and have had this truck in some places that were pretty tricky to get to; in doing so I have acquired plenty of Nevada Pinstripe, but it still looks very good. We also pull a 2003 Coleman Westlake, pop-up trailer that weighs around 3,400 pounds. I love this truck. I have changed the oil every 5-10,000 miles, flushed the transmission once, flushed the radiator and brake lines once and replaced the plugs one time, as well. That's pretty hard to beat.

I bought my truck when they were giving an incentive to push out the old and in with the new. I love my truck better than the 2006 Silverado I owned prior. The style and elegance are outstanding followed by a great ride. I put it on the road from GA to VA Beach and it road great.
Was a mistake to buy
In the four months I have owned the vehicle, 34 days were spent with it in the shop. They are continuously replacing the air bags as the panels keep warping. (3 on drivers side, 2 on passenger side) The steering wheel was replaced as well as the exterior temperature sensor. The four wheel drive went out after about 5 minutes of using it. Gas mileage keeps getting worse and worse (down to 10.6 mpg) and to wrap up the experience, it has already had to be repainted as ford missed some spots and it started to peel. Not what I would expect for $38,000. Would never buy a Ford truck again.
