Not bad for the money

I was very surprised with how roomy the interior is for the size truck. The seats are pretty comfy and are very accommodating HOWEVER they stain VERY easily and it is hard to it out. I have had this ford for 23k miles and I have noticed a few disheartening issues. 1)always seems to be a quart low on oil. 2) always smells of hot brakes and burnt oil after even a 40 mile drive. 3)Bed liner is cheap! 4)Always has a shutter/ticking while at slow speeds along with a clunking sound when accelerate from a stop as the weight shifts. 5)THE GAS MILEAGE STINKS!even when i was hauling a refrigerator my mileage was pathetic! I have the 5.4L but I would still not expect the mileage to punk out that bad!

I acquired my truck with 105k and I now have a 192k miles on it I've had zero issues , insane power output. What I can't do ?? Never had a trailer just piled to the moon with a regular basis 2000lbs in the bed and on the rack. regular oil changes and spark plugs only I change the spark plugs as soon as I got the truck and just did it again. I put a stereo system touch screen deck subs and amps new battery new alternator when I first got the truck also.. I am a handyman it Lake Tahoe and I do snow removal and I operate year-round for five years with this truck zero issues. I would definitely have a fleet of these trucks. I have heard of negative feedback about the spark plugs however There are tons of videos on how to change the spark plugs properly if that's the only setback that people are worried about it's a great truck just change the spark plugs the way you're supposed to do it

Avoid at all costs. I'd rather haul stuff with my bicycle because at least my bike wont cost 2-3k fixing the cam phasers ever other month. Worst truck ever.

Ford needs new management

Poor economy, real bad brakes, very poor ride characteristics, engine is underpowered compared to other trucks, manual transmission shifts poorly, seats are starting to tear at 2500 miles. This truck is very obsolete compared to the competition. This truck weighs 4760 lbs, has 202 hp, gets 13 to 16 mph. Don't waste your money on this truck. For a business buying this vehicle, would be subject to insurance issues from workman's comp due to loading height. Ford is lost when building quality, efficient autos.

The 5.4L 3 valve is the worst engine that i have ever dealt with from a Ford. Also the transmission was not reliable same as the engine. These transmissions are known for problems. I loved the truck when it ran, but the problems i was having made me just hate it. i hated it so mush that i would not every buy another ford product again ( i have been a ford guy forever), and got rid of this truck for a Toyota Tundra. If you are considering buying this truck please do some research on the engine and transmission, there are thousands of reviews about these trucks. Another thing is the resale valve of the f150 sucks.
