I bought this truck used about a year and a half ago. I plan on having it forever. I have had no major problems with it. I was either going to buy this truck or a similar used 2004 (new style) F-150 model, but I really like this style better. It feels/drives more like a truck (the 2004 for felt/drove more like an SUV to me) and also feel it is a stronger, more durable vehicle. If you are looking for a used truck and come across a 2002-2003 F-150, give it a try and you won't be disapointed. This is a truck that you will still see on the road in 10-20 years....something you couldn't say about a Dodge.

Buy It... No Regrets!

After spending the last 4 1/2 years without a pickup, it was time to retire the Jeep Cherokee (NEVER buy a Jeep). I bought the F-150 with the 5.4 litre Triton V-8 and absolutely love it! I pull a 5,000lb trailer about every other weekend in the summer, and this truck does it wonderfully. Most of my towing is high in the Colorado Rockies, and my normal driving is on the flat, eastern plains of Colorado. My F-150 does a wonderful job of both. Plenty of torque when I need it, with a smooth and comfortable ride. Gas mileage is typical for a full size 4x4. Growing up in ranch country, I can really appreciate a first class pickup, and this "fits the bill".

My F150 XLT Supercab, 4.2L, 6 cylinder automatic currently has 83,000 miles on the odometer. At under $19,000 new, it is one of the lowest cost, well equipped, six passenger vehicles available. It has only had one problem with a failure of the coil assembly. It was relatively low cost to repair & did not leave me dead out on the road. We use it as our primary vehicle for our family of four. It enables to go where we want, when we want & bring whatever we want. I have been rear-ended twice. The structure held up well & suffered minimal damage in both accidents. I plan on keeping this truck for at least ten years. I would recommend it for anyone wanting reliable people & cargo space.
